it aint going to be permagard - i thought it was a french company, my dad had his boat done a few years back when they were just in aviation and marine industries.

he's probably taking the piss, it's all under franchise - it'd be interesting to tell mike about it and see how much they sue him for lol.

may be a supergard thing and he's claiming it's permagard but i doubt you'd get the sticker and cert with it.

LOL at his thread! Anyone can buy Permagard products, hell, I could start a business 'Permagarding' cars with the amount of extra botttles and stuff I've got, doesn't mean I'd be able to apply it with the care and expertise of the Permagard guys though. Fucking monkeys, they'll try anything. Someone get it done by him and post the pictures up, I'd be surprised if it looked anything other than well polished and probably last a week at best.

i'm not questioning that he has the proper product - i'm questioning if he can supply the proper 'product' i.e. as you say the car and attention, the quality, the insurance valid certs, the guarentees etc.

You can't 'buy' Permagard! They supply the after care kits which are neither the cleaning products or the actual polymer treatment!

I did email Mike and he's going to investigate this guy as he is not a registered Permagard operation and they are working hard to establish themselves, they don't want some monkey belittleing their product/service!

if all he has is the car care kit then yes i agree that he's talking bull**it, i don't doubt though that it could be possible to get hold of the stuff through other means - it it cross industry and i know of other permagard specialists that don't do the auto industry, just marine or aviation.

He may just have the after care kit, in which case he needs shutting down as all he'll be doing is half a job and that'll muddy the permagard name.

All of Permagard in the UK goes through the guys in London be it automotive, marine or aviation!

Anyway who cares? If you want the proper treatement, ie. the treatment that looks amazing, protects the paintwork, repels water and is guaranteed for a year - cough up the £130 + VAT and get Mike to do it, otherwise, waste your money on some monkey to apply something or other to your car that will wash off in the first shower.

Hell, Mike will even throw in a free polishing mitt. (check under bonnet)

wasn't in the UK - was in france, a couple of years back, hense why i thought it was a French company.

They do have a French operation as well as a big presence in Australia (they've treated a couple of the Virgin Blue 737s).

Mike responded to my email and CC'd the guy who runs France so they are taking the guy on ClioSport quite seriously!

I fully agree, but I don't like some guy telling people the product/service isn't worth the money and that he can do the treatment for half the price of Permagard!

Sorry chief, hadn't read his post and didn't realise someone was foolish enough to dis Permagard, I think I've set him straight now.

Cue, between posting on here and Cliosport how on earth do you run three businesses?

I just cleaned my car with a chamois leather!

I looked out the window this morning and noticed that my car was the only one covered in water out of about thirty. The sun was out and had obviously dried all the cars out from the rain last night but because of the way the water beads on the surface it had collected in large globules and was just sitting on the bonnet and roof. Well, I went out there with a chamois to dry it off and basically wiped the car clean in about three minutes, the bugs and road grime from the drive up to London yesterday just wiped straight off. It looks like it's had a full valet and polish.

Excellent stuff, I get a free wash every time it rains now.

The guys at Permagard told me about a pilot who's had the treatment on his plane, when it needs a clean he just flies through a cloud!

I gave No. 99 it's first post-Permagard clean yesterday. It took longer to get the cleaning stuff setup/packed away than it did to clean!

I treated myself to a Turtle Wax Squeegee blade thing!

Then driving along last night I got my first experience of rain with a Permagarded windscreen. All the other cars had their wipers going, I just drove along with the water flying off the screen and perfect vision, I was very impressed!

It's hilarious! I drove through a monsoon on Saturday on the M25 and I didn't realise it was raining until I saw the reflections on the road, it works better the heavier the rain (and the faster you're travelling), with medium rain, you only have to drive above 50-60mph to not need the wipers at all, makes such a difference when you're tired - not having those hypnotic wipers lulling you to sleep.

That moron on ClioSport is still posting the Permagard is a waste of money!?!?!

Can any ClioSport users who've been Permagarded please add your thoughts on the products whether it's a waste of money of the best investment you've made in years!?!?

he firmly believes in what he's saying though which is funny. Still amazes me this that people who haven't had PG done by a authorised PG distributor still make comments like its a crap product.

Like saying you dont like carrots when you've never had one. arse

I don't like carrots but the missus still puts them in my dinner (on the rare occasion that I don't cook - oh well at least she's good in the sack).

I did tell that guy what I thought of him on that thread, I tried to remain calm, professional and polite but as always it descending into libelous venom because I don't like chav monkeys spouting crap about a really good value professional service as being a 'rip-off' because he can run a filthy rag over your car for sixpence and a bag of skunk.
