Here is the twitter & Facebook link to my blog for anyone who is into every aspect of cars, it also features my Clio Trophy...
Has anyone found a way of perhaps trying to prolong the life of the Sachs? We know that they can suffer with road salt/dirt so just wonder if anyone else has come up with a solution to protect them. I'm not sure where the failure occurs, whether it leaks at the top of the body of the main tube...
Hi all,
I am looking to lower my T as it sits far to high at the rear and intern the side skirts do not sit level with the floor.
I have my car booked into K-tec for three weeks time so will get them to sort it out but I need to know what are the best springs and how low to go.
I would like...
Hi guys the clutch pedal on the trophy is starting to creak when pressed. I think it's because of the clutch cable.

My spare Sachs are due back from Cornering Force in the coming week, has anybody renewed the rubber gaitor that goes inside the spring to protect the shaft?
I can use the ones already on the car but it would be good to fit new to the refurbished dampers really. Do Renault still supply them?
I...
About 1 1/2 years ago I had my shocks reconditioned and the are fine, but recently there had been horrible noises and clunking coming from the drivers side. After much hassle finding the problem we noticed that it is the lac of lubrication on the top of the shock. Can any one help me and tell me...
Since swapping my springs over to sportlines I now have 3 front springs!
Selling the best condition 1 of the lot, done around 40k iirc, pictures on request.
I know most people replace in pairs but might be of use to someone on here as a spare if one of theirs suddenly fails etc.
Make me some...

Just brought a trophy and one of my front sachs has gone :( plus I have snapped a spring.
Been advised by bg that its best to get both done at the same drive in and out cost around £700(without springs)
I've read some people are switching them out for h&r's/spax rsx kits and I'm swaying...
Need some quick expert advice please
I have a 182 cup pack. Been offered front trophy suspension with hub only thing is the one damper needs repairing.
My question is it worth getting just front and how much to repair generally
Cheers
Regular stalker of this forum but never time to post T450 is all well (apart from CV boot clip fail) currently on 41k.
Anyway, whilst changing the front discs today I realised the T needed some TLC on her, so I plan to refurb the front dampers, new springs on front, lower wishbones, powerflex...
I've owned #207 since September 12, having owned #383 before, so its about time for an update.
The car was in excellent condition when I picked it up and only needed a few bits doing!
New exhaust mounts fitted and AeroTwin wipers on arrival home.
I had ordered new set of Speedlines from...
In the market for a pair of new front springs since I have discovered that the right hand one is cracked.
I am looking to go for the original spec springs (Renault part number 8200514730) but have seen various threads quoting a variety of different prices from different Renault dealerships...
As above, I've purchased a set of Koni Yellow adjustable rear dampers and was wondering what is the best setting for road use whilst still maintaining decent handling.
My clickers have seen better days and I can't hear or feel the clicks sometimes.
I am hoping to return them to the standard 22 clicks but as I say the clicker seems a bit vague.
I was wondering how many clicks are in a full turn, if anybody has ever tried/tested this before.
Any information...
Just got this little lot, from BG and the local dealer. Its the credit card that's gone to the max :p
Note the new type fitting?no more schrader valve.

My boot lid keeps dropping when open so I ordered some replacement gas struts.
I ordered using my reg number but seem to have received just standard 182 struts as they are too long.
The supplier says they are correct for the car but if I give him a part number he will look at it. Can anyone...
What kind of springs work best with the Sachs apart from the standard ones? Looking to go for stiffer springs but don't want to wreck the dampers in the process.
Thanks.
Hi guys.
I'm contemplating some decent coilovers for my RS Twingo but have a question or two...
The Twingo is based on the Mk2 Clio platform, with the rear beam axle having the usual clio style seperate springs and dampers. Front suspension is set to similar angles as the Trophy and shares...
Hi guys , I had thought that I would go for the Nitron Damper setup that K-Tec are developing for the Trophy but have read great things about AST.
And I just wondered if anyone on here has them fitted and what they think ?
Cheers
Neil
My Brembo's and DS2500's were old and tired and I my driving means i don't need uprated items, so i went for Mintex front discs and pads, Genuine renault rear discs and Mintex pads. When i fitted the pads into the front caliper i noticed the pads were a mil too small to fit snug in the gap. Sure...
Hi Guys , well have only just got my very first Renault Sport and it's number 451. I have driven lots of fast Clio's over the years and was looking for a reasonably priced Clio for trackdays and a little bit of agile fun. I have always loved the look of the Trophy and even though I am a VAG man...
I have a humming noise coming from my car, sounding like a shot wheel bearing - humming more when turning right, indicating a left bearing. I changed both of my fronts and after picking it up from the garage this evening, it's still there, not so loud though. I jacked the car up before it went...
