Bought it to supplement the others as a trackday car - cheap for tyres, trackday insurance

Love it - it's a case of horses for courses, whatever takes your fancy, what's the weather doing, did i have a heavy night, A/B/M roads, 6a.m. Sunday, 5p.m. Friday etc., do i know where I'm going need sat nav, real time traffic info, speed camera country etc. (mood  /   )

I know boys don't have moods

I had an X reg RSi Clio, not bad, but not half as good as my new bitch :p

It was a struggle to get rid of the RSi, no one wanted it :(

Before that I had a succession of shit cars, i.e. Mark 1 and 2 Astras and a Diesel Clio

My dad has better taste than me, he used to have a Renault 5 GT Turbo which was fun to learn to drive in 15 yrs ago :)

Sold a TVR Chimaera 450 due to high running costs before deciding what to replace it with. Had a Skyline R33 GTS prior to that... Miss the power of both but not the costs...

In order of ownership....

'80 Escort RS2000
'92 Mitsubishi Lancer Coupe
'86 BMW 525i
'94 Nissan Maxima
'00 Golf GTI (250bhp MTM Conversion)
'00 330ci (track set up)
'04 Cooper S
'98 306 GTI-6
'00 330ci (road set up)
'05 Clio Trophy

I would love a 911 as the next step 'up'... perhaps the Clio as a track car for the weekend? It needs a coat hook otherwise!!!

Had a 306 Gti-6 In Blazy Yellow or Gold as it's more commonly known.

Great car, handled well, good power good all round. Was sad to see it go. :(

But really happy when it was replaced by my trophy. I toyed with so many ideas for new cars but never even test drove a Trophy before buying on. I had driven a Full fat 182 tho.

Excellent, i had a Gti-6 In Black, supurb car though, was upset to see her go!!

Trophty is more fun by far though!

Benny - I had a GTI-6 (black too!) but was not the least bit sad to see it go. IMHO the Trophy is a 10x better car in every aspect, and it is cheaper before you consider inflation!

Cheers

Looks like a lot of us had GTi-6. Mine was black also, as you can see from the pic above. It was a 98 S. Still one of my favourite cars I've owned. I was sad to see it go, but I'd been given a the Focus as a company car leaving the Pug in the garage losing money.

I almost ended up with blaze yellow one, but was lucky to find black.
