Spot on Marc, thank you. If you don't mind me asking, how much is BG costing you for the front Sachs?

Just remembered I need to send your stuff STILL!

Interested as to why you have not went for de-pinning?
De-pinning them helps match the shocks when on the dyno.

Have you heard back from Andy@ clioturbo.co.uk about the service he is offering yet?

Dont want them de-pinned as i want to keep them OE and i don't want any problems with them being out or adjusted.

I have tagged andy (@) but i have not heard anything back so unsure but i have seen on his Facebook that he has stripped his own sachs.

After a refurbishment at Cornering Force in September 2013 and fitted in February 2014.
Mine have lasted magnificent 8 months and 6,000. The passenger side is not loosing oil out the shaft seal.

I've since been in touch with Simon and he's going to look into the cause of why this has happened, brilliant service up to now.
I'll keep you all updated on how it goes.

I've also been in touch with Nicky, in-regards to the R1 Dust Covers.
I've asked for a singular price and a group buy price. Would many people be interested?

I could be in the market for dust covers for my spare Sachs, would be good to see some pics of them. My rebuilt Sachs from CF have been on for 12 months and 10k miles, I think I should check them to make sure they are ok.

I have just got off the phone with Ben @ BG and the total cost of my refurbishment is going to be just shy of £900.
He is going to install the scrapper / dust seal that comes on the Twingo R1 damper but this is NOT a direct fit and he has said a about changing something due to the size and threads.

Upon closer inspection, it appears both of my Sachs have failed.
Both have identically the same problem, one a little worse than the other.

For reference, this is what my R1 dampers looked like:

The holes for the 4 screws on the ring do not exist on the original dampers so would have to be perhaps drilled in to the top of the original dampers or the tops of the orignal damper needs to swapped with the ones from the R1 damper.

As mentioned by Jon, the original Trophy Sachs require drilling and tapping to fit R1 Scrapper / dust seals. Prices as followed:

Fixture ring £37.39 each
Scraper £15.65 each
Screw kit £2.08

I've just purchased some, delivery not expected until December.

My Sachs are still currently with Cornering Force, to see why they failed and to rectify.

I spoke to Ben at BG over a week ago and he said all my bits won't be here till early december.
My rebuild has found more damage to the items which i have also gave the go ahead to fix.

December is going to be a tough one with the sachs rebuild coming in at just under £900.

Just spoke to Mike st Cornering Force and he has informed me, my Sachs are all finished.
He however is going to keep them for a extra week; to perform some tests on the dyno making sure they are 110%.
Cracking customer service up to now!

Great service from BG for #478.

Shafts were knackered and needed replacing, had solid top mounts and strut brace from PMS fitted at the same time, had the shafts painted, and the compression adjusters fitted. Cost a bomb, but couldn't be happier with the results. I now own a Clio Trophy, not a ropy 182 running on springs only...
