Hi all,
Took advantage of the weather today to give the car it's first mini-detail of the year:
Snowfoamed
2bm
Clayed
SRP
EGP
Waxed with Zymol something-or-other
etc...
Spruces up alright tbh 8)
Comments and criticism welcome.
Cheers,
Luke.
I'm thinking of starting to machine polish the trophy as i can see some general swirling which would be nice to get rid of. Has anyone been doing this on there T? Does anyone know is our paint clear coat or two part and does the paint seem to be quite soft? I should find this by experimenting...
My trophy has gone in for its major service. It went to a garage rather than Renault them selves due to it costing nearly 500 pounds more at Renault. My trophy was having everything changed that was on the Renault major service check list and genuine Renault parts however i had a small leak of...
Used once! bought just before xmas, selling only to moving a load of stuff from the garage as building a new one.

Finally managed to get myself a 182 after years of wanting one. Never thought i'd be lucky enough to get a Trophy.
Found it on a salvage site that my dad was using for work and pursuaded him to get it.
Its no. 400/500 and needs a bit of work lol.
When i first got it home
When we got it...
I've just had an epiphany!
All this time I've been carrying round the renault jack set when I don't even have a spare tyre!
Does the wheel need to be off the ground if I needed to use that tyre weld stuff?
Having had a clio mk3 1.2 TCE for a while, then moving on to a Lupo Gti for 18 months, I've now made a return to clio ownership with Trophy (No.248)...
Bought it from a guy in Grantham not too far from me, it was his wifes run around and has only covered 22k, already had the dampers refurbished...
Hi guys- must make this quick!
Tried to replace the windscreen wash in my dads 182. Opened what I thought (it may not be!!!) may be the windscreen wash top- and found the lid and opening contained a mayonnaise substance.
I know this is a really bad sign if it’s the oil top. :S
I have circled...
Hi guys,

I know its not a Trophy but I just thought I'd post! (I have owned one and still love 'em)
Anyway,
This month my car is entered in Vertar's Car Of The Month competition. I would really appreciate your votes, a lot of time went into this car when I got it. The first detail took me approx 14...

Due to a change in financial circumstances :( I'm taking the rather hard decision to suspend my insurance policy (a huge cost for me being 20) and lay #110 up until maybe spring or early summer next year. That way I'll be saved from renewing my insurance again in June as I can potentially...
Looking to sell my wife's F1 as she needs to travel further to work and needs something a bit more economical to do a few miles in, really pains me to sell it as its such a capable hot hatch.
Its a 2006/06 and has just turned 47k this week. Has full service history and is mot'd and taxed for 6...
Hi,
Just after the best product/ways to remove soot build up on my exhaust. Im running a Yozzasport so its quite noticeable, it hasn't been on the car long and makes it look really old. Builds up quick too!
Any good exhaust cleaners anyone know of? or is it just a load of elbow grease?
Thanks.
What's the best way for removing spot welded flies and moths from the bumper and bonnet? Is there a product someone can recommend that loosens them up so i can get them off without scrubbing and risking putting surface marks on the paint.
I've never known how to get them off properly and just...

Sorry guys, but I've just got a Trophy and it seems to want to cut out all the time.
Also takes a tad long to start up in the morning, turns over a couple of seconds longer than I'd think normal.
Even once warmed up after a long drive, put it in reverse and start to move back and it'll just...
Finally got round to get the paint properly corrected and treated a full Swissvax detail by a true pro. Just need to go and pick it up
The car should now look better than when it was brand new: http://is.gd/d6aBf

I know its a bit mad but over the weekend I had the t detailed by paul dalton aka miracle detail. I cant post any pics (to stupid with computers) but what a job. The t looks fantastic and the wax applied was his crystal rock. The t had paint correction as had water type marks that I could not...

.........decided to give the car its first engine clean today - not done it before but very pleased with the outcome!
My faith in the car has been somewhat revived this weekend and can only get better once I get dampers done.
Hi guys,
Just wanted to get an idea of which would be best for the T. Have had a good look on detailing world but would appreciate some of your advice. Dont want to spend a fortune on wax or sealant and a clay bar but would be interested to see what products people are using and what they...
