Whats the best technique/product to re-generate/ freshen up & make the Trophy look red again instead of looking faded pink colour? Understand T Cut is not a good idea, machine polish? Mopping? or Turtlewax red colour restorer? Cheers
It is finally time to say goodbye to my Clio, need to make room for a new arrival (Lotus Elise:up:). I'm sure there is a good home for my Clio out there.

Lets see your Trophys current engine bay.
Im wanting to get mine alot cleaner and sharper so car will be getting my full black forge silicone hose kit fitted soon.
I've decided to put paint correction at a priority over the undersealing. Which is the best place to get it done in the north east. I'm in Durham. Don't think I would trust myself machine polishing, as it seems its been done wrong at some point to get the amount of swirl marks that are on the car.
Last weekend was my two year anniversary of owning the little French S1tbox, so thought id celebrate the event by giving it a well deserved clean over the weekend!!
Method for the geeks: Pressure wash, AG shampoo & wash mit, bucket with grit guards, followed by half a bottle of of Iron-X. I...
Heres the write up of the detailing session my good friend Olly (Snow Shine) carried out for me. After having him work on my EK9 before and seeing the results along with his various other clients I knew the car was in safe hands. I really can't recommend him enough and if you're on the South...
After all the recent snow, my Trophy was looking desperate for a thorough clean.
I decided to give it a machine polish yesterday to get it back upto standard.
No befores as it was just too cold....that cold that i half way through i tempted on leaving it.

Evening all. After owing my Trophy for a few years now my mate has finally decided that "it's one of the best cars i've been in" (in terms of unbelievable grip). He has driven it plenty of times and everytime he is amazed at its ability, so he decided to get shut of his diesel and go for...

Nice, but gonna be a total pain to keep clean and looking good.
And some of us think it's hard stopping a T 'pinking', try keeping that matt paint looking decent. [-X
Even the Renaultsport email says "It's...
Hi all, i have just copied and pasted this from a thread that is on cliosport.net, thought that some people on here might want to have a look.

Essentially, on Saturday, somebody parked their rather clean looking Trophy in our car park next to mine, the gf noticed & said, 'that red clio's really nice'. After then explaining to her that it was a Trophy, just like mine, & that under all the dirt, they were both exactly the same colour ...
Seeing as I had a nice 11 day weekend, thought I'd tidy up the rear of my Trophy. Heres a quick writeup of what I got up to today
The Number plates had been bugging me for ages (well 4years almost lol) with the large garage logo and border, seeing as they had started to fade aswell decide to...
Spring is here, time to get rid of the swirls from the harsh winter.
I’ve used a DAS-6 a few times and achieved reasonable results but now I’ve decided to upgrade to rotary in the form of a cheap and cheerful Silverline.
Due to time restrictions and it being my first time I’m only aiming for...
I'm thinking of starting to machine polish the trophy as i can see some general swirling which would be nice to get rid of. Has anyone been doing this on there T? Does anyone know is our paint clear coat or two part and does the paint seem to be quite soft? I should find this by experimenting...
I have been into detailing now for the last year, on my own car only. However after doing a few friends cars and several others through word of mouth I have decided to start doing it on my days off from work.
This is the process which i take;
Wash
Clay bar the full car
Wash again
Dry all...
Hi Guys,
Unfortunatly it looks like my time with the Trophy is up :-(, since moving I am doing a lot of motorway miles and I just can't bear to be the one to rack them up, so going to have to sell and get something more economical and comfier on long journeys.
Im putting it on sale first on...
I recently bought some port matched inlets butbefore fitting I spent hours polishing up the out side before fitting. I complemented this with a polished strut brace that really doesn't offer much in way of performance increase but unlike the way it looks.
Also did my own tacho change by buying...
I have always enjoyed washing/detailing my car and friends by means of just a wash, clay bar and then a wax. However 'gib172' put his dual action polisher up for sale on here and i thought ill take it the car cleaning a stage further and purchased it.
Anyway here's my first attempt...

Gave the clio a clean today, looks as if the zymol wax is keeping a nice deep glossy shine
Some may have seen when I had the timing done that I gave the sachs dampers a quick clean over, well I decided the full arch should be done, especially with the bad weather right around the corner, I felt...

Briefly introduced myself in the newbies section last week.
A week down on the ownership of No 427 and all is good.
However someone has attempted to machine polish the car before me owning it and has made a right mess of the paint work, holograms and swirls all over the place. Marks left...
Hi,
Someone has put a large scratch/scuff on the roof of my car-looks like a crate or heavy bag 's been dragged across it. I'd like to get repaired/repainted. Can anyone recommend a good place to get this done in Newcastle/Tyne and wear?
Thanks in advance.

Just bought this off ebay but its kinda tipped the scales, financially. So i've decided to sell.
Its from an s1 lotus elise, which uses the same AB65 box as the clio.
Its covered 2000miles and the filter has just been cleaned.
I just want to make some money back on it so £200 posted.
