new to the forum and currently driving/selling my beloved mk5 golf gti edition 30 fully built by REVO to stage 2 334hp 341ftlb, I would post a link to my build thread but not if it doesn't comply with forum rules and I don't want to annoy the admin/mods just yet
Cut a long story short me and...
At the request of a few people I've taken a few pictures to illustrate the height of 15" F1's with Cooksports. Wheels are 7J ET38 iirc. Tyres, 195/50/15. No spacers.
Shoddy effort with the camera. Parked. Took Photos. Went home. Too windy. No tripod.

Guy, Most T's have aftermarket filters, exhaust systems, braided lines & a few other bits as we all know. Now as standard im getting quotes of £600 which is fine, but declaring an air filter mod alone comes out at £900!!! Wtf!?
I cannot find a standard T. What to do?

So, some of you may or may not know that i decided to decat my Trophy, and also remove the rear seats and fit harnesses! Sounded amazing but was honestly far far to loud for general use and especially on the motorways! And seeing as it’s a daily car I thought I’d do some soundproofing! So I...
I hope my boss isn't a visitor to this site because today I was working from "home"... Home was in fact ProSpeed in Cardiff.
Turned up first thing this morning for a cat-back 2.5in system with 2.5in cat mod and slash-cut 3.5in exits. Charlie and the guys did a great job, I was on the road by...
- Sabelt 3 Point Harnesses (Pair). As new condition. These were installed in my car but have never been used. Not even once! They've never been lent on or sat on either as I've always kept them tucked behind the seats. They're basically mint and also imo in the best colour scheme for the...
Back again for sale and this time it's for certain. I need a much larger car and four doors.
One owner, low milage car. First registered on 24/12/2005. Number 487. Always garaged and extremely well looked after. Full service history including initial oil change after running in period. The...
Daydreaming at work and thought others might like to join in/help out, especially if you're as bored as me!!
Current spec is standard, plus:
Wiper stalk mod
Brembo/Ferodo discs & pads
ITG panel filter
One of the rear dampers is on the way out, leaking, so will be replaced with a pair of Koni...
Drove my friends quite now heavily modified 172 which has buckets and sabelt wheel and harnesses - makes me think I want to do the same as I hate the driving position of the trophy. I was thinking of some mildly aggressive seats like the sabelt titans which are in the r26r. What's other people done
I've decided to just sell the car after all the sh1t I've been through with that Tom. He's made me so Sick of it all that I just don't want the dam car any longer which I've babied for almost six years. It currently has the POS RS2 manifold fitted and would need to be removed as it's not working...
Managed to get a quick hour down the workshop after work today so finally replaced my smashed up front splitter and upgraded the dogbone bushing! And yes, i know my front bumper really needs a clean and all those nasty bugs removing! Will be on it tomorrow!
Apologies for bringing this up again but the recent spate of comments on suspension has prompted me to post.
As I see it there are three options for replacing Trophy rear dampers:
a) 182 Cup dampers (£65ish)
b) Renault/Sachs Trophy-specific dampers (£115ish)
c) Koni adjustable dampers...
In two minds whether to do this or not but i just dont use the car at all and my house renovation has to take priority over racing at the moment. Only been out once this year at Oulton for a test/track day and last raced last year. It was previously owned and run by Alex Schooledge of Outpace...
Hello,
I am a newbie in here and I've registered because I am looking for a Trophy for a long time. (totally standard and in good condition with FSH)
I've searched in used car portals and also found a few vehicles.
Unfortunately, my e-mail requests to the sellers are never been answered.
I...
Due to a change of circumstances 456 is now up for sale. I need the funds to buy a van for work as im going self employed.
anyway the car ...
Other than the rear being stripped and fitted with a carbon fibre strut brace and TRS harnesses the car is prity much standard. Everything is in...
Hi guys
Itching to go out and experience my first track day in the Trophy; I race karts nationally and have tested at Palmersport a couple of times (including the Clio Cups) so looking forward to taking my own car out!
Would you recommend me purchasing a different set of rims and tyres...
Currently umming & ahhing about buying an e46 M3 in the next 6 months, so may sell the Trophy at some point ... i have absolutely no idea whats its worth though due to the laughable mileage.
FYI, i know whats its worth in bits, but not as a whole, so im just thinking in case someone wanted one...
After trying to buy one for years!! I finally managed to get my grubby mitts on an MSV cage, so I trundled off to Oxford services on Saturday morning, & came back with a shiny new toy.
Reason for getting a bolt-in as opposed weld? Well, I wasn’t happy about having buckets, harnesses and no...
its been nearly a year since i parted with my trophy and got a clio 200. now im having nightmares and i need a trophy again. maybe end of the year i will start looking but going to go find a completley standard one and this time its for keeps. :D
Firstly, thanks to James & Tom at JMS, despite having to be on the Eurotunnel at 6am this morning, James was bleeding my brakes at midnight last night - mostly thanks to another of our friends bringing in a last minute brake related emergency/c0ck up i might add ... IR tired.
So, the work done...

Ok, so i dont normally whore, but thanks to James (JMS) and Mike (FailSport) last night, the TroFail is now finished. I'm sure a few of you will have read my project thread, & i'll update that with more info than in here, but chuffed isnt the word, it drives brilliantly & looks ruddy lovely imho...

For those of you who don't use cliosport, thought i'd post up my new race car for this season for you to have a look at. Picked it up at the weekend, ex 2006 TCR Onslow-cole Championship winning car. Driven it the grand total of about 20 yards so far, on and off the trailer and into the garage...
