In two minds whether to do this or not but i just dont use the car at all and my house renovation has to take priority over racing at the moment. Only been out once this year at Oulton for a test/track day and last raced last year. It was previously owned and run by Alex Schooledge of Outpace Racing, i believe Fergus Trenholme also owned this car and ran it succesfully in the Eurosaloons a few years back.
Originally it was a TCR run car for Tom Onslow-Cole in 2006 and he won the Clio Cup Championship in that year, the last year to use the 182 shape cars.

Its very clean and straight for an ex cup car and being used in the 2006 championship means it has all the latest Renaultsport updates that were available. Recently had new gearbox 'cut switch' and fresh gearbox oil along with a new pipercross race filter for the oe airbox. Had gearbox rebuild before i bought it and has done very little since then. Brand new TRS harnesses and tow straps fitted at the start of the season.

Comes with a decent spares package included, set of (4) Speedline 2118 wheels and Michelin wets, car is fitted with a set of (4) Speedline 2118 wheels and Michelin slicks currently. Also spare Sadev driveshaft, spare discs, pads and callipers. Set of headlights, original 'blanks' are currently fitted along with small lights in the grille to keep it legal for scrutineering.
There are some spare rear camber shims, wheel bearings and various sensors, coil packs and iginition leads etc to get you away if you have a problem over a race weekend. Still have all the original Renaultsport Datalogging equipment and full harness to go with the car along with an AIM M2 dash lap timer. I have a complete workshop manual from Renaultsport and some spare fluids of the type currently used too and anything else i have spare you can have.

As i said the only reason i'm selling is due to lack of use, i'd get more use out of a nice road/track car such as an R26.r Megane or similar at this moment in time.
I'd like £10500ono for the car including all the spares and i might take a part ex depending on what it is. I can possibly arrange delivery too if needed.
Thanks

Excellent car. Good luck with the sale. I would bite your arm off, but I'm sure you know how it is. I would like to ask a few questions about the car though, as there are things I've always wanted to know about these cars. What is the real world maintenance schedule for a sadev sequential box. I was told a rebuild every 6k miles or so. How much would a gear box realisticaly cost? What is required to be done and when. I always wanted to run one of these as a road legal/track day car.
I'd also like to know about the suspension, Spring rates, dampers etc. Any pics would be great, esp of the interior.

ps. Yes I am an insane nutter.

Hi mate,
there's some good info, or there used to be, on the renaultsport site about the full spec of these cars. Breifly the suspension is fixed rate bilstein dampers, 'coilover' type all round. Oe spec callipers with performance friction pads all round. Engine is pretty much standard 172/182 with a 2.5" exhaust and race cat, V6 espace airbox and sealed/mapped ecu to suit. Obviously the main thing with the cup cars is the Sadev sequential box, the reason i never bought a cup car years ago was horror stories about massive bills and maintenance of the 'box. However its not true, all the guys i race with in the lma's have had very little issues and the rebuilds can be carried out by loads of specialists around the country, parts are readilly available from SWR too and the only thing i've needed is a 'cut' switch for the full throttle change.
