id say maybe 1 out of 8 attempts it wont start first time. My alarm is also nackered. It beeps 3 times sometimes and doesnt alarm. Someone on cliosport i think said it was something to do with some ignition not turning off so alarm doesnt alarm.

I left my windows down the other day and car unlocked for 5ish hours. Went to lock it and it beeped 3 times. So it cant be due to some ignition thing. Im not going dealers thou

Mine has just started not starting properly over the last week. It's only when I go to start her for the first time each day, but it is a problem every day.

Not sure if I will take it back to the dealers just yet, may wait to see if the problem solves itself or gets worse. If it does not get worse then I will just get it checked out when the first service is due...

Mine did this for the first time a couple of days ago. It's not happened since though! I can't remember if the A/C was on or not.

write to UK MD, shouldn't be too hard to get his name. Say your expecting a quick reply and failure to comply will result in a barrage of letters to magazines, newspapers and renault themselves about shite build quility.

I'd expect a result fairly quickly.

Please phone Renault uk

Why do you want us to phone them? Im only taking the trophy in if it wont move in the morning. I know what dealers are like and cant be arsed to get the car backwith a big scratch on it or whatever else they think of doing lol

To be honest as the car is in warranty just take it back.

What other choice do you have without being out of pocket.

Mine did it for the first time today, I was really surprised, it turned over then just died, I was parked on my drive which is a 1 in 4 gradient, nose up, I don't know if this would affect it but I don't normally park there. No air con/fan and I twisted the key properly.

I won't be going near a Renault garage unless the engine falls out, I will be getting mine serviced at an authorised specialist. Besides I think having Rentech on your service history is more valuable than a dealer service to anyone in the know, and Trophy's don't tend to go to muppets.

mine has also been doing this over the last 2 weeks - not every morning but i'd say out of 14 days it has done it perhaps 5 or 6 times. I too have no aircon/fan on at the time of turning the key.

I have found that turning the key to the second position (where all the dashboard lights come on), giving it about 30-45 seconds and then turning the key to start the car has helped it start first time though :?

I've had this many times, I took the car back to Renault the other day, they ran a diagnostic check and found nothing wrong.

It always happens when i'm leaving work so I think its when you park on a gradient, at home it's flat and at work its about 10% in some places.

have found that turning the key to the second position (where all the dashboard lights come on), giving it about 30-45 seconds and then turning the key to start the car has helped it start first time though

I'll try this and report back

Mine is starting to stall in the morning first time around. It normally needs two turns of the key to get it going..
