Cooksport is the way forward with the damper rebuilds, BG are barmy on price. Cooksport charge £120 + vat each for the rebuild then £50 each if you want re finish with powder coat. Ok you don’t get the stickers but they are on here for about £15 if you want them

Anyone had theirs done recently?

I see a few comments on the Cornering Force facebook page suggesting trying to get a hold of them is a bit of an issues at times now. Tempted to go with Cooksport as an alternative.

I can only speak for BG.
The service, feedback and quality of the repair was excellent.
Yes I know others are cheaper but I wasn’t prepared to take a chance on probably the most important part the Trophy has over lesser models.

My experience a couple of years ago with BG Motorsport was top notch, great job, great communication with Jane, and the dampers have performed beautifully since. It was a fairly hefty invoice (£800 +), but that was due to complications with the spare set I sent them which meant ultimately I had to send them another set to be stripped too, thankfully it all worked out well in the end.

Have to say BG is another winner for me.

I was around £1200 for my rebuild as I got extra stuff done.

I know with speaking to Jane that Sachs ZF have discontinued some items.

I’m needing mine done as well. Outwith BG there’s Cooksport I think and I’m sure there’s another company who do them but I’m maybe wrong 🤔

I was looking at cooksport based on a post further back, might phone as I've not had a response from the enquiry box on their site (a pet hate of mine, why have it if it'll just get ignored?).

Cornering force are who you're thinking of and who I'd want to use but recent comments on their Facebook page suggest poor communication of late and people struggling to get answers to phone calls and emails.

BG sound like extortion. No chance Rik Perry can make a comeback??

Cooksport did get back in the end-

'We can refurbish the Sachs dampers. They are £112.50+VAT each to service and powder coating is £50+VAT each. The turnaround time is a couple of weeks, due to the coating. As you rightly say repairs are case by case, but parts are now very difficult to get, as such, we don’t take on repair jobs. If they are bent, broken, rusted shafts, or rusted out bodies, it's not for us. The seals are cornering force seal kits that we use.'

Sounds good if you're confident of a re-seal only but might be a bit of a faff if repairs only became apparent after disassembly.

I stand corrected but BG are the only company that can get hold of genuine Sachs components. I recon Cooksport and others have to go them for parts on jobs that require more than seals and a paint job.
My pair looked like the classic case of leaking seals but once apart the refurb moved to another level.

To add to this, Jane at BG has confirmed you'd be about £480 for a basic re-seal etc. PLUS £140 if you want them powder coated.
