It would be more of a shock if they did know what they were doing TBH. There are independant reno specialists dotted around, find one and stick with him.

alright lads i had my first service done at a renault dealership in germany as i was in the army over there at the time and i must say the service was brilliant. one guy was a bit arsey coz he couldnt speak english but the fella who did the work was cracking. explained in detail the work being carried out and the reasons why, also a break down of the invoice and each part costing. was probably a perfect time to practice his english but hey i was impressed.
2nd service was at suttons in tarleton what a bunch of tossers nuff said!!

Renault Mill Lane Aldershot weren't great for me to be honest.

Just had my entire Saturday morning wasted by them. I rang a month in advance to book the T in to have the ECU bracket repaired under warranty and talked to the service people about what needed fixing. I asked for them to make sure they had the correct part as it would be unlikely to be stocked. "Yea, yea, if it's a common fault we'll have seen it before. ECU bracket where it mounts to the bodywork by the N/S damper top mount you say. Yea no problem getting that part."

I also asked for another set of original dealer number plates to be made as spares. "Yea, yea we can do that when you come in on Saturday no problem."

In the end none of it was done. Even with a months warning they got the wrong part. I couldn't get the plates either. That dept is closed on Saturdays...

So, I get up at 7am on a Saturday, having not gone out last night as I knew I had to get up today. Drive at least a 60 mile round trip and get naff all for my efforts. Cost in fuel? Probably at least £10-15 worth of V-Power. Treatment by Mill Hill service department, pi** poor. Mechanic was a nice guy though and looked gutted that someone had screwed up.

What is it about Renault customer service, or the service departments at least, that is quite so dumb? Their inability to transfer the correct information to parts ordering, and what they tell you on the phone being nothing like reality is dreadful. I now have to waste another Saturday morning getting it all sorted.

Do I bother going back? Do I go somewhere else? I might risk going back as at least you'd hope they can't screw up a second time. I so pity anyone that has to take the T to a main dealer for any really major work done.

Took my trophy in for warranty repairs.

They've replaced my centre section on warranty but the exhaust still rattles a bit, much better and seems to perform a bit better. They also replaced the mirror which was buggered but wouldn't replace the ecu bracket or n/s wishbone saying they aren't covered by warranty and charged me £50 for the privilege of looking at the car

Just had the Trophys first service and MOT, it may already have had the service but it wasnt stamped so I wanted to make sure!

The Renault Service Centre at Ancaster near Sleaford were excellent, they fixed my seat (wouldnt slide when tilted), gave the car a good clean, and the engineer knew about the Trophy, which was a bonus! Also took the oppertunity to get the Silkolene Pro S in the engine as a treat for it!

A rare case of excellent customer service from Renault!
