i spoke to Mark Fish the other day about a Geo set up, and he recommended leaving the rear camber alone and tweaking the front a little, it is quite a long drive, so will look at going down when i have week off

so, just fitted a new fuse box under the bonnet, old one had a broken clip, also been in for a full service, had a dog bone with uprated mounts fitted, and a new clutch cable

and OMG!!!! what a difference a new clutch cable has made, it feels less that half the weight it was before, highly recommended for anyone with a high milage T like mine, or heavy clutch

Great work returning it to standard-ish.

At what mileage did you replace the cable and how much did it set you back?

One thing that I didn't like in the Trophies/Cups I have test driven so far is the very heavy clutch, so it is good to know this has helped.

Thanks guys.
Marc, what software do you use to get part numbers and prices? Is it available to the public? PM if you prefer.

Just to let you know these are like hens teeth.

You will see in my picture with the shock showing that the bottom of my liner had burst.

I was lucky to get 2 second hand ones for £15 as i did not fancy paying £80+ for these.

Clio 172 / 182 / Trophy are all the same but they are forever snapping and cracking hence the fact that they are like hens teeth.

If you find them up for sale they won't be there long and as they are £37 + vat each they are not cheap either.

Cheers MarcR, think i will stick with my custom job for a bit :D

its strange though, because i thought maybe it just broke off the arch liner that is on it, but i felt around the edge and did not seem like anything was missing

It protects the belt at drivers side and then on the other side it protects the earth strap and things.

If its burst under the bottom where it joins on the bumper it also lets water (if raining) into the fog light area and wiring along with the horn on the passenger side.

I changed mine ASAP as come winter all sorts of stuff will be getting thrown up.

The mounts make such a difference don't they... Mine were in a similar condition to yours and I noticed a MASSIVE improvement in throttle response, handling and even braking!

What's the thinking behind going for a set of 197 cams? Don't they change the delivery in quite a specific way?
