so thought i would make the most of the cooler mornign again, have made a start on cleaning up the front arches ready for waxoil, the front arch liner is nightmare to get out, have a slight crack in one now , hopefully the other side will go better

Got a bit of spraying done, might be brave and remove the top inlet, and do that

Thought i would have a crack at getting the top inlet off and and painting the top of the engine, and doing the inlet

picked a set of front and rear calipers yesterday, will email Bigred for a quote later. also got the missing belt protector that goes inside the driver arch, the person i got the bits from told me i have some plastic trim missing the sits just behind the front grill, drivers side, protects the air con pies and stuff, any of you got one still?

I might do, I nailed a pigeon a long time ago and various bits of trim were dislodged. Having had the air con removed I never bothered replacing the protector, it's somewhere safe waiting for the day when it needs to go back on.

Or we could be talking about completely different things!

also had my quote back from big red will cost about £270 for a full refurb fronts and rears

Calipers? I bought a pair of 225 brembo's and had them repainted for less than that. Food for thought

There is a fair few bits of plastic at the front and some are crazy expensive.

Item number 3 is £53+vat

True but its not difficult to PSI test the pistons to see if you even need them refurbing or not. In my case I didn't so a lick of paint and jobs sorted

and for some reason since i cleaned my TB and inlet out, i have lost 0.1 mpg will not bother again lol

This sits on the top grill in front of the alternator and stops water and stuff going over it and hitting the belt.
Mine was missing but i managed to pick one up for £10.00

I would advice taking the front bumper off to fit it correctly as i spent 30mins and a very badly shaved hand are trying to fit it.
I would have been much quicker taking the bumper off and fitting it
