I'm waiting on a refund. Have been waiting since mid-July when Tom and I agreed on the refund but still don't even have a confirmed booking date to have the dam thing removed off my poor T! :x I've stopped driving the T now until Tom sorts it all out.

On top of that, I sold my Maxogen straight after fitting the RS2 so now I'll have to buy another one again. :(

Terrible experience but I've learnt alot from it.

I'm doing a compression test tomorrow to try and diagnose poor RR figures. However, I'm not the only one who has experienced figures below the expected, so I may have to accept them. Still goes well though :D , but for the cost it's a little hard to accept.

Am I missing something here? PM if you wish.

Edit: Just logged out of CS, you may be waiting a while for that refund.

Closed down! my car is in there at the moment. Had the RS2 fitted 6 weeks ago but they didnt fit the decat and the whiteline arb and camber bolts. Tom is supposed to be coming to pick me up then i can collect the car.
Any more information would be helpful, i still have the remap to get so cant really comment on the power gains all i can say is that it feels more torquey low down but strangled at higher revs which hopefully is down to no decat and remap. Will post when i get the car back before i take it for a remap.

That is a rather glib comment by me, I have no doubt that all loose ends will be tied and sorted before MWM take over. I never had any Qualms about recommending them to anyone and just Pagani's comment above about Tom coming personally to pick him up exemplifies the service they did provide.

Didn't know about the problems and i wish them all the best in the future. Tom has always tried to be as helpful as possible and although it has taken time to finally get the car finished apart from the remap it is getting done and i had already paid for all the work including the whiteline, deacat and camber bolts. He is going to give my car a free 12000 mile check( i supplied the oil and filter ) for the time it has taken to get finished. Knowing they have had problems makes it easier to understand and barring these Tom and James really know what they are doing and i would recommend them as well.

No my comment was not aimed in down talking JMS, im sure all outstanding orders etc will be sorted, i received great service from my experience with them.

Dave completely missed the thread you put up. I agree the unit wasnt amazing location etc but surely it may have been worth aiming for upgrading in the future, expanding etc? easier said than done i suppose

Does seem to be the way with Renault tuners I'm afraid.

Look back at the list of companies that have all gone the same way. Not quite sure why it never works our for them?

The RS2 manifold doesn't work in conjunction with my Catcams. There's a massive power loss so it was decided for me to not have the re-map as it just wasn't going to work in my car.

Having the cams with the RS2 and no re-map equals = a terrible Trophy.

I've saw the thread over on Cliosport after reading your post and although they seem to be moving on, I'm still certain that Tom will honour his word as he's always been very sincere whenever I've spoken with him. It's taking him a while to do so but having run my own small business for almost six years now (reason for not being here very often), I can understand fairly well how it must be for him to have to give out refunds etc.

It's not really the time it's taking for the refund that's bothering me but the fact that my poor T has been sat in an unfinished state for such a long while without knowing when it'll be back to normal again.

Still an unpleasant experience but I'm sure I'll feel better once my T is back to normal again. Just need to source another Maxogen! #-o

has everybody received the RS2 from the group buy and had the remap and who's still having any problems i should be aware off. I am getting the remap on wednesday and can't wait to have it finally running as intended. I am heading up to Scotland to see my parents once Paul has remapped it , will give me a chance to have a blast on some of the roads i grew up on.

I'm still waiting for mine to be re-mapped. Been waiting nearly 5 months.....Tom was meant to be putting my car onto a trailer up to Leeds to get sorted but never quite happened and don't think it's gonna happen anytime soon. How's your car been running without the mapping? Anyone else who hasn't hasn't had it re-mapped yet what would be your thoughts in taking it too Michael Woodford instead to get this done?

Pagani - would appreciate it if you could give me a shout after you've had the mapping done to see what sort of changes it makes.

Cheers all....

I'm quite glad I didn't go through and put my name down for one now. Seem you guys have had a difficult time getting them fitted and finished. :(

Ben - Any news why yours was down on power? Was it down to poor compression? or as you said "hot day, and exhaust leak"?

Have JMS completely finished now?

I checked the compression, it was a bit low but I couldn't get a good seal and I could see some oil vapor coming out when cranking the engine, I got the same reading across all cylinders which is a good sign, something like 155psi.

The timing was correct also so i'm stuck on what to do. I'm thinking i'll book it in again when the weather cools down, I already sorted the exhaust out.

It doesn't help I have a 2 and a half hour drive to RS Tuning by which time my engine is very hot, add that and a very hot day together and it's like the worst conditions for a remap.

The engine needs to be at least hot enough to hit the limiter though?

What figures did you make BenG?

When it went in for the RS2 i was getting a decat as well for my RS192 but they didn't have time to fit it so it was running terribly it did have a leak at the cat gasket which didn't help. It did seem to have more torque low down but less power higher up although i didn't use it hard. It was very hesitant when picking up the throttle and lumpy at idle and didn't start first time. When i got the decat fitted it has improved all round and am hoping with the proper map it will run as its supposed too. I have not driven it hard but because i know it leans out with the standard map and i think the remap is essential with this piece of kit. Can you not just drive your car to RS tuning? as for Michael woodford dont think they have the equipment to do it Tom did mention west surrey racing but i am making the long trip because he has a good reputation and has experience mapping the RS2, you do need some specialist equipment and experience to do it properly.
