There are quite a few driving-related things which annoy me so I thought I'd post one each month until I run out - call it therapy if you like. Maybe everyone will agree with me, more than likely they won't, and maybe this will spark a bit of a debate/controversy. Whatever the outcome post your...
Anyone going to swap their tyres next month? I'm tempted for peice of mind although i didnt have too much bother last winter.
Do normal clio steelys fit the T btw?
Im looking for a new set of tyres for my spare set of wheels i use for sprinting and a couple of trackdays, ive been looking at Yoko's AD08's anyone use these??
Or any other suggestions but not Toyo's 888's :D
Hopped in the car early on Sunday morning and went for a drive...because I could. 140 miles around West Berkshire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire & Gloucestershire guaranteed a smile for the rest of the day!
I didn't see a single speed camera the whole journey (and hope none saw me) but I was...
right, my beef is basically, why are these cars just not worth that much money anymore? for a car as amazing as this to drop from £15,00 in 5 years is pretty shocking, i think asking for £4000, £5000, or even £6000 when selling yours is rediculous. these cars are classic and a piece of history...
Afternoon all. I would like to know what else I can look at to solve my problem. At the moment where I live ishaving a new metrolink installed so the roads are a disgrace with pot holes, tram lines and general bumps!!
When I'm driving on these roads, the car just makes all kind of noises from...
Not only have I snapped a precious Eiback front, I've also snapped a rear spring.
I know the Trophy front spring is different from the 182, but what about the rear... is it the same?
Apologies for bringing this up again but the recent spate of comments on suspension has prompted me to post.
As I see it there are three options for replacing Trophy rear dampers:
a) 182 Cup dampers (£65ish)
b) Renault/Sachs Trophy-specific dampers (£115ish)
c) Koni adjustable dampers...
Unfortunately, the time has come where I can't put this off any longer, it is with great regret that I am offering my Trophy up for sale.
I need a 5 door car, as running my 16 month old daughter around in the back is just not practical, and with a long term back injury, I find it painful...
Three of us did the Three Peaks Challenge at the weekend in the Trophy. Really enjoyed it but bloody hard work. Checkitout :D

Hi, I have owned a Cup packed 182 for over 4 years now, determined to keep it as long as possible.
Always kind of wished for the Trophy set up so I have just invested in a full set of Trophy dampers.
I was wondering what you guys could recommend to get the set up correct. Lots of advice already...
Well after running around with the dreaded Serv and TC warning lights on for the last few months I finally took it in for a brake pedal sensor change which appeared to fix the problem.
That is, until yesterday when I had the MOT and a brake fluid change and now I've got one more warning light...
As per title?
I honestly can't see myself selling the little bugger. Took it for a blast on some newly discovered B roads recently and was still absolutley gobsmacked at how bloody good it is. :D
I bought a Boxster S six months ago and even though it's a brilliant car, unless you're a...
its been nearly a year since i parted with my trophy and got a clio 200. now im having nightmares and i need a trophy again. maybe end of the year i will start looking but going to go find a completley standard one and this time its for keeps. :D
As I was moving cars about & an opportunity to take a quick pic presented itself.
The Trophy next to my Lancia integrale EVO & our recently purchased EP3 Civic Type-R Premier Edition.
Well, after 3 years of dreaming I finally bought my own Canoe :D.
I was a bit sceptical about putting a Canoe on the roof of the little Clio but it holds it very well, surprisingly. It does draw a lot of attention and I have to admit it does look pretty funny.
The little Clio has a whole...
Well even after nearly 6 years of ownership this little pocket rocket still surprises me.
I know how quick it is on a B road, but in a straight line i always thought it slightly underpowered to take on the great and good of Germany's finest but boy was I wrong.
100 octane racing fuel on board...
Hi,
Newbie just signing on and wanted to introduce myself. I'll be on the lookout for a Trophy or possibly a 182 with both Cup packs and recaros as a daily driver. I have a S1 Elise for the weekend, although I'm expecting that if what I read about the Tropy and 182 is right, I might be using...
Ok so there is only a paragraph on the Trophy in the new Evo magazine so probably not worth buying if you're not a regular reader, but they list 6 giant killing road cars which the Trophy tops with a closing comment of "It's our ultimate giant-killer"
It's a good day to be a Trophy owner!
No not in LA but the tough streets of Surrey...
First Trophy spot I've had for a long, long time now, seem to see less of them on the roads these days. You were approaching the roundabout at the end of the B3000 from Compton as I was crossing the roundabout from Godalming. Would have flashed my...
I feel the shame already
Just a little comparison, I love them both though
Basically I got offered these cheap, they'd done relatively no miles and as I dont intend to drive the trophy hard this year at all then I thought why not enjoy the added looks low cars give....atleast to...
On friday night me and my mates. Me in the Trophy, a scobby, a civic coupe, brand new 3series bmw and a corsa.
We decided to go out if town and have a little cruze into wycombe as soon as we got there we had taxi drivers cutting us up and lots of little boys in there chav tastic 1.1 trying to...
Saw you just heading up Paxton hill as you came off the double roundabout at about 17:10 last night! Didn't catch the numberplate.
I was the bloke on the bike with the stupidly bright flashing light :D
Am soon to be the owner of number 25 - next week! It'll be used as a daily driver and I'm looking forward to doing a few sprints and hillclimbs with it as well. Nothing too serious, it's just nice to give it some proper exercise occaisonally. Previous owner has done a great job in doing (as far...
110 has done 38,769 but I've only done just over 2k since acquiring her in June 2010. I'm just curious as to how well used these cars are on average? Is your Trophy a daily driver or a weekend/summer toy?
Cheers! :)
I bought this car in November and have only just got it back from the garage
The previous owner had put Gaz suspension on it,then lowered it and to add
insult to injury put 195 tyres on it for the "streched" look.
Needless to say it didn't drive as a Trophy should.
Thankfully its now back to...
Hi i have always said on all my cars i have owned if engine required major repair i.e. piston bent valve etc..
I would put uprated internals in and bolt a turbo on (if only it was that easy:-))
Just woundered wat peoples views are on turbo trophy?
(Just to add there is nothing wrong with the...
Hi guys, just wondering if any specific region has its own regional leaders who organise meets etc?
I know of 4 trophy's in the North-East and have seen others driving around and would love to all meet up but nobody seems to organise anything.
If there isnt anyone then maybe its something to...
Not sure if its a common problem on the Trophy as had numerous 182's before and have never had this problem.
However having just recenty bought a Trophy I have found strange happenings when manouvering on or near full lock??
No horrible noises, just the steering wheel has a mind of its own and...
