Comparing my experiences running 195's then 205's i'd definitely agree with you there Stromba.

Granted i've never ran the same model of tyre in both sizes, but whatever tyres i ran on the 172 it certainly got more 'slidey' as you reached the limit. The 205 PE2's just make lots of noise (very noisy tyres!) but keep gripping nicely until you reach the limit at which point theres not much you can do to avoid running wide
