So i thought i'd finally sign up here, some of you may remember this car:
was the one there was a thread on here advising people not to buy it.

However i did work for A/C at the and decided to take the risk to get it brought into my garage to have a good look at it and decide whether i wanted to purchase it or not.

Bought it in December and took it home on X-Mas Eve.

lots of updates so will add them all
so its a 55 plate, 40k with FRSH

the splitter has been lost so ive bought a carbon one from ktec

also decided ive had enough of listening to the same cds and radio stations so i fitted my dvd player earlier on
DSC00077.jpg

Not really the biggest fan of vibe but found a set of Vibe SEK50s lying about in my garage from my black clio (2cars ago) so decided just to fit them to add a bit more sound quality than the paperthin renault ones:

DSC00081.gif

also just agreed a price for a set of 4 Toyo R888s so just need to get them here now from England.

so arrived home to this nice little box:
DSC00079-1.jpg

wonder whats inside? Brembo discs and ferodo racing pads maybe? :D

discs are brembo high carbon vented discs.

Stayed at my gfs house last night and went down to my car this morning to go get my phone upgrade and found this, not very happy as you'd expect!

so set off last night at 6pm to head to Mark Fish Motorsport. got to the hotel room at 1:30 am, alarm went off at 7:45 and straight to Marks workshop to get the following done:

De-Pin front dampers

Replace all "road" springs

Replace rear dampers with Koni Adjustable Dampers

Set up front & rear camber

and wheel alignement.

Honestly can not praise mark and the boys at his workshop for the work they done, car feels fantastic and definately worth the long long long journey to his work shop.

will post up pics when i have a chance.

Currently sitting with 2 degrees negative camber.

just about to order front & rear strut braces and getting the car booked into Kenny Browns to get the cage properly fitting, harnesses fitted and the strut braces fitted also.

the exhaust has slightly dropped at one side so will need to get sorted but waiting on the Yozza system being back on order and will just get that.

Pics of Exhaust:

Sold the cage

picked the slag up from Kenneth Brown Motor Engineerig at Hillington.

What i was meant to be getting done was fitting cage, removing rear interior and fitting the harnesses.

Decided to sell the cage instead and considering getting a full cage, not sure tho.

Looks good, love that steering wheel :D What circuit is that your pictured on?

What was reason 'not to buy it' ? Was it the one without the plaque?

yeah it was me that posted that warning to avoid...
basically for the money they were asking it was a bad deal, it wasnt in good shape and for your average Trophy buyer wouldnt have been a good car.
but credit to you... =D> you've done a good job.

did you ever get anything sorted about the plaque then ?,
I have the direct phone number of JT at RSUK - PM me if you want it, i know of him supplying replacement plaques to other trophy owners however they are the "spongy" type as fitted to the V6 not the metal trophy ones

i got discount off it and got the rear bumper repaired also

i phoned renault customer services to trace the number of it, but had no luck, they phoned the factory also.

do you think he would be able to get it? or is it just wishful thinking? would be nice to know what number she is

Have we had a look on here with the number register? Surely we could trace down a handful of possible numbers then eliminate them one by one and get yours???

basically there's no way to work out the number...
RS in both the UK and France have no records of what No. matches what VIN.
Trophy numbers do not run in line with the VIN - i.e a trophy with higher Vin could have a lower number than a car with a lower VIN.
if anything you might just have to settle on a plaque without a number.

tempted just to get trophy anonymous made up for abit of a laugh.

you'd have thought they wouldve kept a record of it all. Silly Renault.

em from R Sport in Southampton i think it was.

£130 + VAT iirc

will look out the number for you
