Decided to get myself a nice new steering wheel from Omp ..didnt expect it to take weeks but supose its worth it,
few quick short snaps ..
what you think , going to detail the car this week inside and out , pics not the best of quality ( IPHONE ) ..
Anyone have any ideas what polish would be best to use on the red paint? I know that red has a bit of a bad reputation when it comes to fading and I really don't want that to happen. I've used the t-cut colour polish and turtle wax equivalent previously (on other cars) and I've also used...

So here are some pics that I took when I first got the car home:
then I gave the car a good wash/wax after coming back from Sherbourne...

All,
Sadly the time has come for me to move on from the Trophy. It's an unfortunate casualty in a series of events and one I wish I could save, however having this and the Vee is out of the question and it'll sorely be missed:
It's had:
36,000 miles - and just had BOTH belts done -...

Just bought some of that meguirs clay and gave it a quick whirl on a small bit of the roof.
On close inpsection of said bit there are small imperfections (like little patches - looks like a stain) which can only be seen from a certain angle.
Any ideas what they are and how to get them out?
It's been a while since i've taken some photos of number 427.
I have also been neglecting the paintwork but as i've been loving driving it again recently my love has been reignited :D
Weapon of choice:
Plus a huge selection of products. I got bored after 4 hours though. Tomorrow i will get...

A couple of sundays back Steve was kind enough to take me out for a run in his cup and show me why he decided to change from the trophy.. and then passed over to me for some fun down the the rs clios favourite territory the bumpy back roads/lanes, and now the chassis and the size over the trophy...
My girlfriend is about to purchase a new car, well, used but around the age of my Trophy. I have told her that she has to start looking after this one and it has surfaced the discussion regarding car care. My car was Permaguarded by duffer987 and for the last 2 and a bit years under my wing, I...
This is a fantastic low mileage example that has covered 21,000 miles. I purchased the car in November 2007 for £12,000 from a Zymol detailers - see pics on his website http://www.offyourmarks.com/gallery. As you can see the car was in better than new condition and had covered just 2200 miles...
Treated 415 to a full detail and valet from Autowash Detailing (http://www.detailing-specialists.co.uk) last Friday. Really pleased with the finished job (had the WRX done too, and the guy managed to regenerate my oxidising boot spoiler). Then of course it went and snowed. Have not driven the...
I used to have a red Fiat Coupe 20VT a few years back. Really fun little thing, didn't handle well but looked good and went pretty quick.
BUT: it turned completely pink over two years as the pigment in the paint oxidised (or whatever it does). It was an R-reg and this was in 2002.
So I'm...
Can anyone recommend a good detailing firm in the Sevenoaks (west Kent) area? Would rather use someone that has been recommended. Found Valet-Tech in Dunton Green, but has anyone used them at all? 415 needs a good clean, as does the WRX
Ive been looking about to see what the best car polish is to use on the car, My trophy looks abit fader in colour compared to some others that i have seen in the pictures. It makes such a difference giving it a good wash and polish, if anyone has any tips on what to buy please let me know.

I bought a Turtle Wax wheel cleaner spray from halfords a while back. i have just given the wheels its first application with the stuff over the weekend. I have pagids fitted too and the wheels come up a treat in conjunction with a jet washer. However after i had read the small print (after i...

Guys,
My car is permaguarded, thanks to Duffer987 and I continued this trend last year with the annual top up.
I'm now unsure as to whether or not to continue.. I went to the local Lotus specialist today , seeking a quote to tidy up the bodywork and remedy the result of my front bumper...

Spent the weekend working on Theo's car as it needed a little TLC :) Also had great fun with the weather, in and out of the garage all day on Sunday, glad we got the polishing/correction done on Saturday when the weather was perfect!
When the car arrived safe to say it was a little dirty, you...
Today myself and Bubbles passed a fair few hours giving the R27 some TLC.... clay-bar'd, followed by some Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish and Meguiars Deep Crystal Wax.
Well chuffed with the results.... liquid yellow looks awesome when clean even if i do say so myself :)
A BIG thanks to Matt
Not only did my order arrive quickly it also contained some unexpected but much appreciated extras (which I'm not going to disclose in case everyone starts whinging :D ) along with the his trade mark anglo bubbly bubble gum!
It's not only myself as a fellow Trophy...
