Samco have recently designed an induction bend to replace the nasty plastic standard one.
This hose is top qulaity - 4 layers thick (4-ply) so is very strong and doesnt flex excessively, has an oil resistant first layer (due to breather pipe oil return) can be made in numerous colours, is a...
Is it just me or does anyone else get treated like a total tw*t whilst driving their trophy?
On numerous occasions i have been driving the trophy well within the speed limit and have been abused by pedestrians, to whom it must appear i'm travelling much faster than i actually am.
It happened...
Whilst trying to keep a pair of motorcycles honest the other evening i noticed lots of water droplets over the rear window and when i arrived home also all over the rear of the car. They were clear, none oily and unsmelly so i suppose just water. I had been driving quite spiritedly, anyone any...
Just got back from Northampton after purchasing Trophy 452. :) Pick it up next Saturday.
One owner, ~4900 miles, 55-reg, as-new condition, completely standard. It looks just like all the others, but I'll be sure to post up some pics when I collect it. Haven't looked forward to picking up a...
Hello, just wondering, as I have no experience of the clio sport range on how easy it is to tune the trophy or a basic 182 to 200hp? I am a believer in keeping rare, unique cars as standard as possible so subtle mods would be preffered! What have other members done?
Cheers this is my...
Ive just had a reply from Ben about the exhaust they are develooping and this is what he had to say:-
Hello Michael,
The exhaust is indeed something that is very special, however the custom
components are expensive and rather fancy.
Cost will be in the region of £1000-£1200, yet it...
Hi guys/gals
Looking at getting myself a group N ecu fitted as i have just got a milltek + performance filter want to get the Group N to bring it all together to get a nice little gain will also have the inlet matched too in time.
Just wanted to see if anyone can shed some light and tell...

Sponsored by Honda (hence the new CTR making the cut!) but great all the same, my first two cars are in it and in the right colours. Two other cars I'd love to own too, DC2 and Integrale.
Bits to laugh at;
Flawed dynamics of the 205...
Evo descrivbe the Trophy as 'the most fun you can have on 3 wheels' but my question is how do you get it on 3 wheels?
Is it something that you should be able to do everyday or do you have to really push the car so much that you're very unlikely to achieve it safely on the road?
Can you...

I have fallen in love with all vechiles BMW m3 so in 6 months time and a lot of saving i am going to get one . I have never driven one so any comments on handling performance mpg .
Found this on a french site , but for the life of me i can,t find any write ups or reports on this, think its about 250 quid, green cotton ram airs are used on most wrc cars, quality is superb on them, yet i'm stumped if i can find a report, anybody else can help me out in finding one
Took my Trophy up to Ben R's place on Wednesday along with a couple of mates and am staggered by the difference to my car.
Mid range has improved dramatically and the torque is much more like a Williams now.
If anyone wants a go in my car let me know?
:D
Has anybody been infected with the petrol problem? Just been listhening to the news, said i no.
Should think most people will be using V-Power from shell and wont have been affected. Thousands of people have had problems mainly using Morrisons and Tescos petrol. Now we all know why it...
Well, nearly. Broad daylight, dry, country lane with flat (not ditched or hedged) runoffs. Road drops from plateau with sweeping left followed by tightening right under bridge and dropping steeply. Enter right on trailing throttle – some gravel previously dragged across surface. Get...
Could possibly be a really dumb question. Is damper performance dependent on weather? Over the last couple of days it appears to have got warmer and my car seems to be noticeably more supple over the bumps. In contrast a week ago it was around 0c and it felt a lot harder and less compliant...
Just got the replacement for the Trophy yesterday. 20k miles on the clock and paid £14,750 from a trader completely factory standard. I feel guilty for saying it but it's better than the Trophy in every aspect in my opinion:
The clutch pedal is harder, the brake pedal is harder and has...
I was driving down the M6 yesterday and got thinking about the feasability of fitting a six speed box in the little beast.
Would this be possible?
I know they used six speeders in the Cup cars, but they were sequential and expensive, also probably not ideal ratios for the road.
How about a...
Back from the rolling road today and my lightly modded Trophy made...
174.6bhp!!!!!!
I wasn't too upset though as all the standard 182's are reported to never put out more than 168-169bhp. Poor show Renault I say. 7MAT's was the most powerful Trophy there and put out 180bhp!
Torque...
It's a feature of the Trophy that's often forgotten, correct me if I'm wrong but it is unique to the Trophy right? Or was it an optional extra on the late FF 182's?
Anyway, does anyone still use theirs? I used to use it a lot when I first got the car to keep my license but I don't think I've...
Hi all ive got a trophy with a sticking throttle when you floor the throttle in say 2nd or 3rd, when you press the clutch down to change gear the engine just revs up like its out of gear, like someone has just floored the throttle and it just revs up to the limiter and sits bouncing of it...
Got a bit carried away today
My exhaust (standard 'high quality' item) is making strange noises again.. So I concluded something had to be done! Then concluded whilst I am at it makes sense to do something on the induction and ECU side.
ITG panel filter and KTR grp N ECU choices...
A very good (enter time of day here) to you all :)
Just a bit of a strange question... has anyone here drive or been in a Lotus Exige?
How was it? Interested in views from either S1 or S2...
Supercharged experiences deserve bonus points!!!!
O.
Hey,
Am off to Devon on Friday for a weeks rest woooo!! Got the tomato kitted out with some nice new exaltos today, took 50 mins at Elite in dagenham - freakin' ages but all the same it looked like they had done a good job, wheels nice and clean too! :D
Anyway, I was wondering, I shall...
Anyone any idea how the gearknob comes off, does it simply unscrew?
Ive never really liked the clios plastic gearknob and fancy swapping it for a nice leather momo one or something similar. With it being a lift up reverse the choice of suitable gearknobs is a bit limited - anyone changed theirs?
It'd been 20 odd days since my last outing in the trophy due to being busy and the rubbish weather we've been having. However my power steering pump failed on my daily driver (206) so i've been "forced" to drive the trophy. I woke up excited to drive it and got to work with a grin on my face...
Has anyone remapped their trophy?, anyone got a group n ecu?
And if so how do you rate it, is it worth it etc..
Will it damage your engine / completely invalidate the warrenty
Any info would be great :?:
