Im going to be putting my dampers back on this weekend after having them refurbished (and some new eibach springs put in ) , as the suspension has been taken off, does this mean the car will need a four wheel alignment? If so, does anyone know of good places to get this done in the Essex...
Got koni rear dampers with mark fish springs and the rear ride is pretty 'crashy' just from the rear when going over bumps as if its bottoming out.Are u ment to use different shorter bump stops ? or is anyone else finding this ? put the dampers on the softest setting are the probs still there...
I have an issue with my trophy's suspension set up. I adore the sash dampers they are very well build and have a good amount of adjustability but are lacking adjustable spring seat platforms. I feel when the car is on track it needs to be lower at the front and the back but mostly the back.
My...
my trophy is now due a major service due to age not millage. Renault say either 72,000 miles or 5 years wot ever comes sooner. my trophy only has 13,500 miles and Renault are saying i need a major service ! i personally think spending over £1000 for a major service for a car with only 13,500...
........noticed my Trophy has started doing this again like my old 172 which I read about some time ago and was led down the road of fitting the washers under the top mount rubbers.
Have not fitted these yet to the Trophy (may explore solid tops if problem cannot be resolved) but have a...
Hi folks, I'm sure this has been asked before -I searched and couldn't find anything. Just bought a 182 and am trying to fathom out what exactly it is. It's a silver 55 plate with 16 inch anracite alloys, aircon and cruise control with half leather. My question is how do I know if it's a cup or...

Trying to track down the cause, hoping someone else can offer a potential cause. For the last year I would say my T has handled slightly off. The positive feel to the steering has gone and I want to try and get this back.
So far I have had the following done on the car:
- Lower suspension...
Hi guys, it is with deepest regret the trophy has to go, after so long of not wanting to use it for work and finally convincing myself it would be good to keep it, today I got laid off from work.
Going by the current climate it could be weeks, even months before I get back into work so the 'T'...
Gave the clio a clean today, looks as if the zymol wax is keeping a nice deep glossy shine
Some may have seen when I had the timing done that I gave the sachs dampers a quick clean over, well I decided the full arch should be done, especially with the bad weather right around the corner, I felt...
Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and as yet, haven't even got myself an RS Clio . However, that is hopefully about to change in the next week or so and I'm looking to buy a Trophy. Other than the reading I've done on the net and the usual Clio buyers guides that I've found, I can't seem to locate...

Hello all, haven't posted here for a while. Still have my T :D it's on 19000m and recently had the dampers serviced at BG.
I had a question about getting the geo/camber done please. Since the dampers were taken out, I've lost the tracking, wheel alignment and camber and need to get it all...
Whilst i'm aware that some of you perhaps think that the Cliosport forum is a bit 'childish', 'chavvy' or simply below you as a Trophy owner ... having read some of the threads on here since i've had mine, i have been constantly amazed by the lack of knowledge that 85% of this forums users...

Right I will get straight to the point as I have a list; I have owned my Trophy for now 2 months and when purchased I had timing belts done and an oil and filter change done. This weekend however I was doing a gearbox change and checked the oil now the dipstick read ½ litre low and when I...
Right ho,
Currently in a bit of a weird place re: the suspension on my Trophy. Front dampers have been refurbed, & the rears are also only 18 months old, so its a great setup, with plenty of life left in it ...
However, on track, its not quite low/stiff/adjustable enough, so my plan is/was to...

Hi Guys,
After purchasing number 322 from Gman (fellow forum enthusiast) last year, a move abroad means that our love affair with the Trophy must come to an end  . Please see attached my Pistonheads advert which reads as follows...

Used her for the first time in three weeks today and wow what a car.
My runaround is a 1.4 and the t feels so fast and just wants you to give it more and more. Dont think you...
Hi guys, my Trophy currently has uprated Brembo brakes/pads and full stainless steel exhaust system. I have a few hundred pound to spend on the car and as it is due it's MOT in October I was considering getting remap done at the same time.
I have spoken to a guy called Paul whom I believe...
For sale is my 2005 Renault Sport Clio 182 Cup in Racing Blue, which has recently clocked 60,000 enjoyable and trouble free miles.
I have owned the car for approximately two and a half years in which time it has been maintained regardless of cost and has been given some tasteful modifications to...

I plan on doing an arch detail on the trophy soon and plan on giving the Sach's a scrub up aswell
Is there anything I should be aware of before I set out? Also is there anything I can use to protect the seals etc from failing
Heres a few pics to help with the assembly of koni rear dampers as found nothing online and aparently the instructions you get with the konis arent straight forward to make out.
Im getting a slight crashy knock from the rear of my trophy after fitting the rear koni shocks when going over bumps.
I take it ive not done the correct proceedure of the washers, bumpstop etc ? heres the pics....
And heres what sits under in the wheel arch...
just taken the T for its MOT and was gutted to realise it had failed on a broken rear spring :( just the point on the end of the bottom coil. Rang my local Renault dealer up for a price and was told that my car had the 'Extreme Pack' on it, and it would be £138+vat #-o . Now i have 2 questions...
