These are a hot topic at the mo so thought I'd post up my thoughts...
I have now had Cooksports on my T for a week now. A point to note, my front Sachs dampers are in good condition, refurbed recently and no leaks... Rears however are cup shocks, awaiting new Sachs/Koni's to go on.

With our second child due in September, we had to rationalise our cars. First the wife's Civic EP3 Type-R Premier went to be replaced by a 5 door MK5 Golf R32, now my Trophy is being replaced by a Megane RS DCi175.
I've owned the car for just over 3.5years covering 44,000 brilliant miles, it...
Hello, I've bought a trophy and I love it lots, but there's a couple of niggles:
1) I feel the car is slightly down on power, the car has an incomplete service history and i'm told the cambelt was changed by the previous owner, it's suggested that I get the timing checked, does anyone know how...
Hi,
I've just had my dampers back from Simon at Cornering Force and don't hesitate to fully recommend his service.
They are now 'unpinned' and so I want to try and understand what the adjuster actually does and to what degree.
Does anyone have a damper curve for the Sachs at different levels...

As above, I've purchased a set of Koni Yellow adjustable rear dampers and was wondering what is the best setting for road use whilst still maintaining decent handling.
Firstly, apologies if this is covered in a thread I haven't found - I have searched the damper threads but couldn't locate the answer to this specific question.
Basically, has anyone had their Sachs dampers unpinned and compared the car's ride on the softest setting against the hardest? If so...
Well eventually I have gotten round to fitting my new Yokohama Advan Neova AD08 tyres to go alongside the K-Tec exhaust and induction kit already fitted.
So on Thursday I am paying a visit to Dan at 519 Automotive to sort suspension and brakes.
On the list is a set of Spax RSX fully adjustable...
Looking to freshen the rear end up so rear "Renault Sport" badge came off.
Now with having the New "RS 200" badge im in two minds on what side to have it.
Badge Off
New Badge On (ONLY DSTUCK WITH MASKING TAPE FOR TESTING)
Hi guys.
my n/s/r shocker has failed and lost all its fluid.
would you recommend a refurb or replacement??
i recently called Renault to get one but they don't seem to be able to price me up the correct Sachs damper.
the car is really bad to drive at the moment.
thanks for looking
Hi guys,
Picking up #355 next week and will be my second trophy.
It will be a second car for me so not a daily.
I want it to be setup the best way possible.
Shall I keep it standard in terms of springs etc?
I've heard good things in terms of Mark fish, Cooksport, whiteline arb.
Are these...
Hi, I collected my new trophy yesterday (437) and the rear dampers have been changed by one of the previous owners to the normal 182's. I am wanted to go back to the original Sachs ones. Can you still buy new rear Sachs dampers from renault or will I have to hunt else where? Thanks.
Hi guys.
I'm contemplating some decent coilovers for my RS Twingo but have a question or two...
The Twingo is based on the Mk2 Clio platform, with the rear beam axle having the usual clio style seperate springs and dampers. Front suspension is set to similar angles as the Trophy and shares...
Hi guys , I had thought that I would go for the Nitron Damper setup that K-Tec are developing for the Trophy but have read great things about AST.
And I just wondered if anyone on here has them fitted and what they think ?
Cheers
Neil

So just this evening, officially the Trophy changed hands from Sir_Dave to myself. Drives awesome for a Clio with 186,601 miles, better than quite a few clios i've driven actually!

Not really using the Trophy at the moment (twice in 6 weeks), so if someone else wants it as is, they can have it, if not, I will strip everything of worth from it at some point over the next few months and keep the shell and running gear in the barn.
This is my 2nd Clio Trophy. Having...
Following on from some other topics and comments regarding Sachs and rebuilds, has anyone changed the Sachs for something else, if so what are the options?
I know the Sachs are the selling point of the Trophy, but as there is a lack of new stock and the refurbs do not seem to last I am...
I've got a couple of adjustable wiper stalks from a 172/182 FF
These allow you to adjust the speed of the intermitant wipers. Something that always used to annoy me in 007.
£15 posted each.
Here I have for sale My Renaultsport Clio 182 Trophy 142/500. Reason for sale is I've purchased another car. I have owned this car since april and it has been totally faultess. I am an avid Renaultsport enthusiast owning a Ph1 172 before the Trophy and I am currently in the process of rebulding...
Are the Turini's that bad?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Clio-2-0-16V-RENAULTSPORT-182-TROPHY-3DR-/320929355713?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4ab8e157c1#ht_1136wt_1270
Well, after fitting them last week, setting the front camber to -2 degrees negative on Friday and doing the Llandow trackday with CS yesterday, i can safely say that the H&R's are very worthy replacement to the Sachs.
Handling is nigh on exactly the same as the Sachs/Sportline combo that i had...
Or perhaps not.
This is a Trophy afterall ... Handling > Lowz:up:
On Sachs / Sportlines
On H&R's
Very pleased so far, ride is lovely, far better than the Sachs in fact, which would imply that they are probably a little softer. Havent really pushed it particularly hard as the camber/toe...
Hi guys, well after signing up as member 3 years ago with the intention of buying i finally picked up a Trophy on Monday....got there in the end!:D
Now the confusion....
I have been looking at old posts about the Sachs suspesion for the last few days now but still have some questions that i am...
