I've had it on the rr befor, made around 165bhp at the wheels. that was 20k ago and pre remap, new chipset, plus it's just had new poly mounts all round so I think the loss through the drive train will be reduced slightly. may need to get it serviced again and re RR'd to see if it's changed.

Other than 150mph having the strange effect of cooling the engine to the point of registering minimal temp I've been mightily impressed with it's ability to remain at 140mph for a few hours at a time, although the 100 octane fuel may have had a major effect on this reading as since back in the uk it's been fine and dandy...

This post was just to share my astonishment at the trophy's ability at the top end of it's speed limit - not a bragging post although the competitiveness within me does come to the surface everynow and again.

Fair enough. What have you done to get 165bhp at the wheels, as that seems quite high?

Forgive me if i seem slightly sceptical.

competition throttle body, maxogen, removed the acoustic valve, new grp n chip, remapped for optimal performance on the decat, inlet manifold enlargement, decat.. can't remember everything off the top of my head but the list goes on.

So, the fairly standard 1*2 modifications then:

Ported throttle body
Removed acoustic valve
Maxogen
Matched inlets
De-cat
Live Map

165 @ Wheels is approx. 190-195 @ fly, ie what you would expect from ITB's, or an RS2 inlet, mapped.

So if you genuinely have 195bhp, & have got it down to just over 1000kg's, thats good going, especially considering the poor standard figures that most 1*2's tend to put out.

Go out of main 'ring car park.
Turn right, follw the road until the end.
At the T junction turn right.
Go under the bridge, the turn right at the next T junction.
Follow the straight, & about 500 yards on your left there is a petrol station.

They did it last time i went :)

Last time i was at silverstone they sold 102octane at the BP there!

Mind you that was 2009 and was £2.50 pl, so probably £3 now!

Most i've seen in any Shell is 99 ron, which is V-power.
