When it went in for the RS2 i was getting a decat as well for my RS192 but they didn't have time to fit it so it was running terribly it did have a leak at the cat gasket which didn't help. It did seem to have more torque low down but less power higher up although i didn't use it hard. It was very hesitant when picking up the throttle and lumpy at idle and didn't start first time. When i got the decat fitted it has improved all round and am hoping with the proper map it will run as its supposed too. I have not driven it hard but because i know it leans out with the standard map and i think the remap is essential with this piece of kit. Can you not just drive your car to RS tuning? as for Michael woodford dont think they have the equipment to do it Tom did mention west surrey racing but i am making the long trip because he has a good reputation and has experience mapping the RS2, you do need some specialist equipment and experience to do it properly.

Yeah pretty much what you've described and I've already got a decat rs192.....has always started first time, though didn't for the first time last week so want to get this sorted asap. If MWM can sort then it's a far more convenient solution. Have asked James from JMS on his thoughts. Thanks for the heads up Sir_Dave.

.....just to let you know the reply from James 'Mapping at Michael woodford motorsport is to be confirmed over the coming weeks, We're currently doing some testing on our own vehicle fitted with the RS2, Shall hopefully have up-dates in the next 1-2 weeks....'

Tom has disappeared off the face of the earth, havent seen him for a couple of months. Considering none of his mates can get hold of him, i very much doubt you will lol ... James has been finishing off the RS2 orders iirc.

MWM have NOTHING to do with JMS, they simply bought the equipment in the unit & took over the old lease.

That is weird?

Does anywone know if MWM have had any results with fiddling with the RS2 yet?

My trophy is only putting out 180 with decat and rs remap, not happy power tails off missing the 190 as advertised in the original literature, a lot of money for not much gain, torque curve is down on the map as published, the inlet has been shortented by a third causing some of the problems, cant even run it with cams which was not explained as a few of you know feels flat even with the raised rev limit which is pointless as power is tailing off anyway. Anybody with any ideas as the inlet is now a third shorter. My car was doing nearly 170 standard now it has decat and mapping. It feels flat. PM me with your problems and money owed. It's a lot of money for not much gain. Tom If you are still about please reply to my emails.

Basically they went bust otherwise mwm would be legally responsible for fixing any problems.

Why would they lol, MVM just bought their old workshop equipment & took over the lease of the building.

They've got ansolutely nothing to do with JMS, just happens that they have the same address.

TDF are based in GDI's old building, but they arent responsible for GDI's work - luckily for them

Wouldn't be so bad. Velcro to hold the ECU in is pretty cheap.

As is insulating tape to hold the ECU wiring together ...

KTEChnically one of them is still in charge of fitting throttle bodies, ECU's & Cams though, & the other is still working in 519Automotive circles, so they didnt disappear.

Good they havent went bust but i think tom has a lot of angry people after him, James is great will always respond to calls and is happy to give out advice, well Tom is responsible for correcting any problems i think a few people will want to talk in person his name is getting like mud and if he wants to work in this field he better act pronto. Maybe some people are being all nicey to try for a refund/fix. I worked in the motor trade for 10 years, and its shit hit the fan time. He owes money so pay up!! Great service from James by the way, honesty and integrity which i respect in business who doesn't? I can understand problems but you fix em not dodge it. Still means JMS are responsble!

I know ive mentioned this before, but ill say it again to clarify.

JMS no longer exist as a company
Tom has been working as a farmer for the past 3 months
He has no intention, or desire to ever work on a clio again

As such, you are probably wasting your time trying to contact him.

This has troubled me from the start. I had my manifolds matched at Angelworks about 4 years ago and Ben showed me CAD images of an inlet manifold 'very' much like the RS2 that he'd had modelled up for him (because I'm a modeller). Some of you may remember talk of something special that he was producing but it never happened. I'm guessing he went through all this years ago...
