Thanks for the insight Hazzer. I always find it interesting to see how the graphs differ in the mag.

Are you taking it to any trackdays?

Any plans for the Trophy? Would be interesting to see what figures something like the morego conversion makes on the dyno! Everyone on the forums is generally very sceptical.

Hi Harry,

How about a Williams v 172 cup v 182 cup v Trophy v V6 in a future issue? don't know whether this might be a bit too specialist for the majority of readers, but with the amount of clio owner/enthusiasts out there I'd have thought it would pull a few non subscribers in too!

Just a thought.

Still the only car mag worth reading in my opinion. You guys do a fantastic job.

Including a 205 GTI and a Mk1 Golf GTI would balance things up possibly, aswell as being an interesting comparison. Also possibly some view of the evolution.

Ditto the sentiment on the magazine. The only real problem is the space taken up by old issues :D

The big difference was through the Pif-Paf chicane.......
To us it looks as if the driver (different drivers as well to further complicate matters) ) in the Cup dramatically cut the corner (which is only marked with cones) as being 8.5mph faster at this point is too big a difference to explain otherwise, hence the slower time for the Trophy in the article..

That would explain a lot!

On every track day I've done at bedford, the cones marking out the Pif-Paf have been anihilated within half an hour or so. You can carry so much more speed into the next fast section of the track by cutting it, even just a little bit. :p

It's quite refreshing to get honest feedback from the testing magazine, I guess we're just lucky that Mr Metcalfe has a good choice in cars and an interest that goes beyond simply driving them!! ;)
