Hello all,
Does anyone know where I can get hold of the genuine Renault/Sachs stickers that are found at the bottom of every Sachs damper on a Trophy?

The time has come to move ClioTrophy to a new platform. There have long been plans to migrate from the current phpBB software to the vBulletin platform that many of you will have used on other forums. As many of you will have seen of late, ClioTrophy has had some issues with spam, and although...
Performance French Cars Nov 2011 issue is rammed to the brim and the new look magazine is selling extremely well.
This is the final issue of the year but we have loads of plans, shoots, meets and technical experts lined up for 2012.
To subscribe it’s still only £2.33 an issue so that’s only...
right, my beef is basically, why are these cars just not worth that much money anymore? for a car as amazing as this to drop from £15,00 in 5 years is pretty shocking, i think asking for £4000, £5000, or even £6000 when selling yours is rediculous. these cars are classic and a piece of history...
I know Renault seem to get bad reviews amongst people regarding the reliability but during my ownership I have found the Trophy really reliable. I've owned it 3 years and 4 months and had the following issues...
Failed Coolant Termperature Sensor
Failed Damper Seal
Failed CV Boot Clip
Thats...
can anyone tell me where about the horn is in the engine bay? i wanted to try and clean the connectors, my horn works when the car is still but only when pressed on one side of steering wheel, but when moving, it never works. its quite annoying especially if someone is rolling back towards you...
Firstly, thanks to James & Tom at JMS, despite having to be on the Eurotunnel at 6am this morning, James was bleeding my brakes at midnight last night - mostly thanks to another of our friends bringing in a last minute brake related emergency/c0ck up i might add ... IR tired.
So, the work done...

My Trophy's exhaust back boxes are finally on their last legs and so the selection of an aftermarket cat back system begins...
So the initial search led me to the KTR Ultra performance system, which has a 2.5 inch bore from cat back. A bit more research led me to the understanding that the...
Well even after nearly 6 years of ownership this little pocket rocket still surprises me.
I know how quick it is on a B road, but in a straight line i always thought it slightly underpowered to take on the great and good of Germany's finest but boy was I wrong.

Pick my car up from jamsport saturday after having ported and matched inlet, custom remap, whiteline rear arb, pagid front discs, ferodo ds2500 front pads, goodridge braided brake hoses all round and 5.1 brake fluid so will let you all know the results fingers crossed they will be good
110 has done 38,769 but I've only done just over 2k since acquiring her in June 2010. I'm just curious as to how well used these cars are on average? Is your Trophy a daily driver or a weekend/summer toy?
Cheers! :)
The shell is a 2000 W road legal Ph1 shell with history, v5 etc. 72k (ish) miles, will have to check clocks. Cat C damaged years ago but kind of irrelevant now as stripped to a bare shell there is no damage.
Fitted with a full weld in CDS Custom Cages cage to all suspension pick up points...

I'm thinking of buying a couple of Mich PE3's as the fronts need replacing.
Rears have covered at least 15,000 miles but have good tread.
Do you,
A) Replace the fronts with the new tyres?
Or
B) Switch the partially worn tyres on the rear to the front, and put the new tyres on the rear.
?
My rear pads need replacing very soon i've used the search facility and found lots of posts regarding brakes etc.
Now i know the brakes at the rear only take about 20%, so i was going to go for either the standard renault OEM pads or the Ferodo DS2500's which i think quite a few people are...
Performance French Cars Magazine have released the cover of next month’s Rally Special with an exclusive Leob interview. The magazine is receiving awesome feedback and support from the clubs. (see bottom of the message)
Highlights include:-
100 pages - we now beat previous publisher’s page...
Has anyone contemplated using them? If so, what brand and size? Also would they actually provide better grip than the PE2's in winter?
I was looking at UK mean maximum temperatures from October to April, and between at least November to March temperatures should be highly suitable for winter...
Those with PS3s fitted - what tyre pressures are you using?
I normally run 32 front but they seem a bit squidgy if you chuck the front around.
I'm guessing a softer sidewall causes this?
Gonna try 35 front later and have a tinker.

Right I will get straight to the point as I have a list; I have owned my Trophy for now 2 months and when purchased I had timing belts done and an oil and filter change done. This weekend however I was doing a gearbox change and checked the oil now the dipstick read ½ litre low and when I...
Hi guys, my Trophy currently has uprated Brembo brakes/pads and full stainless steel exhaust system. I have a few hundred pound to spend on the car and as it is due it's MOT in October I was considering getting remap done at the same time.
I have spoken to a guy called Paul whom I believe...
Hi lads.
Want to get my Trophy remaped now and was just after some guidance on where the best place is to take it. I live in the west middlands near wolverhampton and birmingham, dont really want to travel 100's of miles unless its unavoidable. If anyone has any experiance or info on some...
Well after a day with a MR2 forum group at Trouqe of the devil it would appear I've come up alittle shy :(
Never mind I had a feeling 182 was going to be abit illusive. Just for comparison has anyone else been dynoed recently and feel like sharing?
Finally got round to fitting my mark fish springs and koni rear dampers.
I measured the top of the alloy to the arch before and after fitting and after just rolling it out the garage the fronts dropped 15mm and the rear 20mm.

My Trophy - #433
**Warning essay content**
Having now owned the Trophy for 6 weeks & 3k miles, i thought i had better put a little thread up about it ...

Morning all
As some of you are already aware I have now started a company supplying performance parts for Renault's and many other cars.
