This may have been discussed in dribs and drabs before but I thought I would resurrect it.
During the recent weather, I notice that the car seems caked in crap which I think is partly down to dirt/salt being kicked up by the tyres. Curiously, the rear hatch seems to always be the worst affected...
Hi,
Thought I'd sign up here to get some info from Trophy owners before I test drive some.
I currently own a Peugeot 106 Rallye 1.3 which I really like and recently thought I would never sell as it does almost everything that I want in a car(no I dont want comfort!)-steering feel, chassis...
One of the coil springs has broken at the front of the 182 Trophy and i was punching my head with what i was going to do as the OE Renault ones are £150 a spring.
Just called Mark Fish and ordered a full spring kit for the 182 Trophy.
Has anyone got this spring kit on there car and if so what...
Hi guys,
Just wanted to post up about my latest detailing offer - 20% off a Winter Protection Detail
This involves a 21 step wash process, fully de tarred and clayed, paint cleansed via dual action polisher and finished with a selection of waxes or paint protection systems (upgrade options)...
A damp friday at Pau Arnos for my once a month track day - great fun though on the road tyres :)

Hi all,
Last year I was looking for a Trophy as a trackday-toy, in the end I went for a modified VX220, now though the Clio-itch is back.
I've always been drawn towards the Trophy, rather than the Cup, but is it worth the premium if the car is to be used as a trackday-toy/daily driver? Is a...
Fast road cams and Matched inlets package
A step further in getting more power from your engine, changing camshaft profiles is the obvious choice for many. Matched inlets compliment upgraded cams very nicely.
There are 2 fast road options for the 172/182 range
Option 1 Catcams 428s...
My rear pads need replacing very soon i've used the search facility and found lots of posts regarding brakes etc.
Now i know the brakes at the rear only take about 20%, so i was going to go for either the standard renault OEM pads or the Ferodo DS2500's which i think quite a few people are...
Could do with 2 new front tyres and was wondering what people thought of these for general road use?
http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php? ... s344p59604
only £10 more than the PE3's, guessing they offer considerably more grip in the dry being a track focused tyre? But wondering just how...
Hi guys
I have got some Eibach Sportlines on mine but it seems more people are changing the springs on the Trophy. Anyone got any good recommendations? .. I have even heard the soft dare i say Apex have even had good reviews on the Trophy dampers.
Cheers for spring or damper related info...
Anybody running them and whats the verdict over the Exalto's? I read somewhere the exalto's are being stopped and replaced by something else so was thinking RS2's may do the trick
How do they perform in wet/dry conditions, cold/hot days etc. I've heard they're similar to a track day tyre for...
Okay so I decided not to renew the tax on my T at the end of October as i'm anticipating another horrendous winter with bucket loads of salt being spread on the roads. Not a great thing to have plastered all over my lovely refurbished sachs dampers :)
So I SORN'd my T online and it's kept off...
I am soon to fit some eibach sportlines to the Trophy. I know that this will affect the geometry somewhat so i was going to book it in to have a wheel alignment, but do i need camber correcting bolts as it is being lowered?
Cheers
Trophy #461
No clean shots in here detailing freaks.
It gets driven, & it gets driven hard. 172k miles & counting.
Mud is courtesy of the field at Haynes, which was perfect for handbrake turns ;)
Trophy # 433 (now owned by Luke_89)
On its holidays in August...
I recently bought some port matched inlets butbefore fitting I spent hours polishing up the out side before fitting. I complemented this with a polished strut brace that really doesn't offer much in way of performance increase but unlike the way it looks.
Also did my own tacho change by buying...
not had my trophy that long, today getting in my car i started it up and the engine started reving the nakers off on its own so i knocked it off and tryed again and it did it again.
i dipped the clutch and it was still reving itself but i put it into gear and pulled off its was still reving...
I have an issue with my trophy's suspension set up. I adore the sash dampers they are very well build and have a good amount of adjustability but are lacking adjustable spring seat platforms. I feel when the car is on track it needs to be lower at the front and the back but mostly the back.
My...
Hi guys.
Been a busy few weeks so not been on for while!
I've been thinking about replacing the Clio, and amoung the current selection of contenders is the E39 M5. Yes, I know its a BMW... Wankers, no indicators blah blah etc, (I'd say the same..). They are a very good car, in all areas, and...
Gave you a big thumbs up, You were going Ferndown way I rounded inside you after Sainsburies for Wimborne! very clean trophy first one other than mine that I've seen on the road - anyone on here?
Andy
Hi!
I've recently joined the forum and thought I'd add a couple of pics my Clios.
55 plate is a 182 that's had a front bump
W plate is a 1.4 sport that my next door neighbour abandoned 3 years ago to go to uni and I bought as a project.
The 1.4 is now back on the road and the 182 is my next...
........noticed my Trophy has started doing this again like my old 172 which I read about some time ago and was led down the road of fitting the washers under the top mount rubbers.
Have not fitted these yet to the Trophy (may explore solid tops if problem cannot be resolved) but have a...
Due to a change in financial circumstances :( I'm taking the rather hard decision to suspend my insurance policy (a huge cost for me being 20) and lay #110 up until maybe spring or early summer next year. That way I'll be saved from renewing my insurance again in June as I can potentially...
Has anyone contemplated using them? If so, what brand and size? Also would they actually provide better grip than the PE2's in winter?
I was looking at UK mean maximum temperatures from October to April, and between at least November to March temperatures should be highly suitable for winter...
Pagid RS4-2 blue pads and Goodridge Braided hoses with stainless fittings (4 hoses (2 front, 2 rear)) in original packaging.
These have covered under 3k road miles (car hasn't been used on track). I would estimate the pads have 90% material left.
I paid in the region of £260 + delivery for...
Those with PS3s fitted - what tyre pressures are you using?
I normally run 32 front but they seem a bit squidgy if you chuck the front around.
I'm guessing a softer sidewall causes this?
Gonna try 35 front later and have a tinker.

Hi all,
I’m currently going through redundancy at work and as a result, I am looking to sell my Trophy to get something cheaper and more practical. As you will see below, the car has never gone short. I am in two minds about selling it and will be genuinely sad to see it go.
Car & Service...
For sale due to purchase of new wheels.
All 4 wheels are mint, with some very minor curb rash on one wheel only (touched up so only noticeable unless you get up really close!). Not sure on what ET they are as its nigh on impossible to tell with these wheels, but they stick out far further that...
