Wheels are as new, lovingly polished even on the inside. Tyres are 60% worn Kumho V70A soft - the only make available in the correct size. Warning, they are brilliant in the wet, but not in standing water (only have 4mm tread when new)- also being soft they pick up every little bit of grit and...
as its a nice day i went for a drive around the countryside and thought about cutting a hole so my induction could breath better, do you think this could devalue the car and even damage the engine if it rains, dont want water sucking in the engine
Tonight i went to the BP garage in shiremore, northeast, as i left i hit a pot hole on the exit of the forecourt, it felt like i had ran over a horse. Got about 300m down the road and knew a had a flat tyre, stopped and used 2 cans of tyre foam which just managed to get me home.
On inspecting...
Just left my car with a renault service centre - oil and stop lights have been coming on intermittently. Oil isn't low, and I have never let it get low. They have said that they need the car maybe for up to a day to properly diagnose, and said it could potentially be a big problem and I...
The weekend started with a visit to Mark Fish to have the solid top mounts fitted that I had ordered last year but had only just got round to getting fitted.
Mr Fish (for those who have never met him).
The top mount.
Sachs dampers removed.
Holes drilled.
Top mount...

Hi Folks,
While driving my girlfriends Trophy for the first time in ages the other night I was doing maybe 80MPH when I changed from 5th to 4th & put the throttle to the floor. Lots of smoke came out of the exhaust - after double checking it (repeated the gearchange) the same thing happened...
Is it possible to do a straight swap for the FF's interior light, which (I believe) has a map light built-in to it? I'm doing a navigational rally tomorrow night and have just had to rig up a load of cardboard and masking tape to shield the light from my side of the car...
If anyone...
I went to Bedford aurodrome the other day and-
In the wet morning the Clio was very tail happy and a whole lot of fun.
As the track started to dry the car became amazing. As the front started to slide, a very slight lift would bring the back end gently into line with no real danger...

Hi
In the last couple of days when i've been driving hard the traction control and service warning lights flick on. When i press the traction control button it makes no difference - the warning light stays on!
When i have had chance to stop i turn the engine off and back on - and both...
Does anyone have a close up picutre of a splitter? I fancy fitting this carbon splitter found here... http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=977 to my trophy :D
Regards,
I thought I'd post this up here for people to just be nosey at.
I can't take credit for the write up, but have a read....
The pictures honestly do not do the car justice now imo.
The paint feels so smooth it's unreal. I haven't felt paint so smooth on a new car in all honesty...
Hi all,
I think the 197 steering wheel is nicer than the 182's! Has anyone fitted a 197 steering wheel to a 182 or know if it is possible? Does it obscure the dials too much as it seems smaller? Do the cruise control functions work?
Kind regards
Dom
Has anyone had their little red beast loose coolant? I've kept an eye on it lately the past month or so as the level seems lower then before. There are no leaks anywhere and the car was recently serviced (Not by dealer) and nothing popped up then.
The cap on the coolant tank wasn't the...
Got the Trophy back on the road again! Massive thanks to Mike at Rentech for sorting this out for me giving up some of his evenings to get the car sorted. Yet again, fantastic customer service from Rentech and going further than they had to to get my car done. He even had it cleaned for me.
Hi There
Im going out for a bit of a spirited drive tmor and want to check all my tyre pressures, now i know they are in the manual but do people follow them or is there a set you guys use ?
Sam

Quite dissapointed really. :( It was tested at Northampton Motorsport this afternoon. Outside temp: 19c. Whats happened Ben? Where is my quoted 200+? I expected...
So today i received my new ITG filter and excitedly went to put it on the car to find a small oil leak while fitting. There is a slight build up sitting on top of the inlet manifold which im worried about. This is where the manifold joins the block and there are a couple of little wells for...
I've started to learn this technique on downshifts blah blah, i can blip the throttle in my Saxo quite easily but not in the Trophy, is this beacause:-
A - the pedals are to far apart
B - i'm not pressing the brake pedal in enough.
C - my feet to small?
pleae help a wannaby track star!
My car is now back from Ben, who fitted cams, modifed inlet and a re-map. His only concern was that as the car has only done 4,000 miles, all on the ex-factory full synhthetic oil, that the rings may still not be fully bedded in - wants me to use ordinary mineral for a while - and so installed a...
After 4 months of ownership my hair nearly all pulled out and my blood pressure sky high - I finally decided to make the change - and quite fitting that when I had fitted it the heavens opened!
What a difference, can't believe I hadnt done it sooner!
A recommended modification :)
ordered a new cold air feed pipe and will be doing myself a custom cold air feed probably this weekend coming.
here is the simota induction kit I am doing it for...
question is, do I want the end of the air feed to tatally engulf the blue filter, or do i want to glue or bond the air...
I'm considering purchasing a Trophy in September but I've noticed a few of the regulars on here commenting about the motorway ride.
Is it really as bad as people make it out to be? I'll be frequently travelling to Birmingham, Bristol and London so I'll be hitting the motorway quite a lot...
