My girlfriend is about to purchase a new car, well, used but around the age of my Trophy. I have told her that she has to start looking after this one and it has surfaced the discussion regarding car care. My car was Permaguarded by duffer987 and for the last 2 and a bit years under my wing, I...
Treated 415 to a full detail and valet from Autowash Detailing (http://www.detailing-specialists.co.uk) last Friday. Really pleased with the finished job (had the WRX done too, and the guy managed to regenerate my oxidising boot spoiler). Then of course it went and snowed. Have not driven the...
I used to have a red Fiat Coupe 20VT a few years back. Really fun little thing, didn't handle well but looked good and went pretty quick.
BUT: it turned completely pink over two years as the pigment in the paint oxidised (or whatever it does). It was an R-reg and this was in 2002.
So I'm...
Guys,
My car is permaguarded, thanks to Duffer987 and I continued this trend last year with the annual top up.
I'm now unsure as to whether or not to continue.. I went to the local Lotus specialist today , seeking a quote to tidy up the bodywork and remedy the result of my front bumper...

My trophy has several small dents along the centre crease on the bonnet. Having been to a few meets I know this is a common issue. (pushing on the bonnet to latch it!! ) :evil
Was wondering if anyone has had this repaired or looked at. Am having my permagard topup in may so thought now...
Unfortunately some delightful person in a black car has scraped the bottom left hand side of my front bumper, now I’ve cleaned/treated the area but Its still significant enough to require a res-pray/blow over which leads me to my following questions:
Can anyone recommend a bodyshop in...
Want to keep the Trophy looking good.
Think my car's had permagaurd recently applied to it (only had the car a couple of weeks).
Anyone else had this done? How often do you need to do it?
Any other tips for keeping it tip top?
Thanks,
Karl.
Hi there, thought i'd introduce myself... new on here today (only done two posts), i have a Black Gold 182 with both Cup Packs, which i have now owned for about 6 weeks. And i am enjoying the car a lot. Anyway hello :)
Polished this Integra with Autoglym High Gloss polish (black label). Highly recommended at the price (both car and polish!) and made this car and the 330 Conv look superb.
Recommended as a quick fix too - I don't have all day like some of you guys!
i've never clayed a car before and wasn't confident enough to try it for the first time on the Trophy. also i wanted the paintwork correcting - especially on the bonnet. so i decided to get it done professionally.
after looking around on the web i selected Gary Funnell from the aptly named...
Ok, this may sound a bit random or stupid. But how does everyone dry their cars after a wash and what products do they use to do it.
I have my car permagarded and want something to get her nice a dry after a rinse. I have never been a big fan of the shammy leather but maybe its cos i bought...
With the start of the summer weather appearing it was time to get the Trophy looking good again. The previous owner obviously had some kind of fascination with car washes judging by the swirlmarks in the paintwork
Having never PC'd a car myself I opted for the slightly lazyboy...
Hi
Just like to say a big THANKS to Graham at stockport for the superb job he did on mine yesterday.
The screen was that clear I thought he'd taken it out
Got lots of "wow thats looks clean !" on motorway journey home (tup)
Well worth a visit.
Hey guys just a quick question. Has anybody used Scuffs 'n' Stuff in Markyate Bedfordshire for any work on there cars?
There web stie is: www.scuffsnstuff.co.uk
I was looking through some old posts and saw somebody had mentioned them?
My little cars going next week to have a few marks...
Decided to try and give my wheels a thorough(ish) clean today. They have brake dust in the corners where the spokes join the rim and the odd stain from what I can only assume is wet brake dust coming from inside the wheel. Anyway, the car was permaguarded before I bought it - do they do the...
Hi all
My names Mike, I live in Woking in Surrey and today I will be picking up Trophy number 226 that I bought a couple of weeks ago. Its in showroom condition with just 5000 miles on the clock plus permaguard and spare wheel. I'm so excited!
Mike
Yes i've had a busy few months and have had more fun driving the Trophy and have kept putting off giving the car what it deserved, a damn good clean. The Permaguard treatment has actually made the task very easy, I've used nothing more than water and their shampoo and the end results have made...
some <insert any swear word to like> has backed a flat bed lorry into 247 !!!!! no major damage but it's got a large dent in the bonnet
twat that did it said "its only a clio, I'll give you £100 to sort it" erm sorry mate, you dickwad but that won't even cover the peragard...
Gave the Trophy a clean yesterday, second time since having the permaguard treatment and long overdue after collecting a lot of roadkill.........
these are just a few of my favourite pictures :
Like a few others, I opted for a permaguard treatment on Monday, here's afew pictures of the finished work, the car paint was very deoxidised and took a bit longer than others to do, but the finish is now very red and glossy :D
And aplogies for the big pic's!
