Coolant and antifreeze is a topic we are asked about on a regular basis, and often causes confusion; types, colours, service life etc.
Perhaps the most frequent cause of confusion is what the difference between anti-freeze or coolant is. Basically, they’re the same product (although the term...
Hello one and all,
Been looking into buying a Clio Trophy. Was just wondering what you guys recommend checking outside of the obvious when looking at Trophy's. I know the dampers may need refreshing. How do you know if they do? Are there any tell tale signs? Any help would be appreciated. Does...
Performance French Cars Magazine Update
Thanks for everyone’s support on the magazine, feedback on the last issue has been awesome and many have commented the new approach under the direction of Editor David Corfield is fantastic.
Next issue out in the next couple of weeks includes:-

I spent a useful afternoon in the garage today changing over the Recaro seats in my Trophy. Its done a few miles now and although the drivers seat is still very good, I thought I would even up the wear by swapping the seats over. hopefully this will extend their life somewhat as the drivers...
I'm thinking of buying a couple of Mich PE3's as the fronts need replacing.
Rears have covered at least 15,000 miles but have good tread.
Do you,
A) Replace the fronts with the new tyres?
Or
B) Switch the partially worn tyres on the rear to the front, and put the new tyres on the rear.
?

I've finally relented and decided to fit the intemittent wiper stalk. I have a very good guide on how to fit it.
However, it does not state exactly how to remove the upper steering wheel cowling/cover. There don't seem to be any screws holding it in.
Does anyone know how to remove this?
Thanks.
Hey.
I just spent the last 10 days in Peru, 4 days walking the Inca Trail and MachuPiccu, what an amazing experience!

Hey guys, went to try a new Megane RS 250 this morning from Hylton Renault Worcester. I tried a FF 250 version not the cup version which I would personally opt for, but was quite impressed by it anyway. It felt very composed and the build quality is indeed leagues ahead of the 182, as most...
Whilst i'm aware that some of you perhaps think that the Cliosport forum is a bit 'childish', 'chavvy' or simply below you as a Trophy owner ... having read some of the threads on here since i've had mine, i have been constantly amazed by the lack of knowledge that 85% of this forums users...

Heres a few pics to help with the assembly of koni rear dampers as found nothing online and aparently the instructions you get with the konis arent straight forward to make out.
Hi All
Unfortunately somebody hit my Trophy a couple of weeks ago and as a result the car is a right off.
To summarise the damage amounts to a new rear left quarter panel possible new passenger door. On the right side I was pushed into the curb which has bent the stub axle and knackered the...
Hi guys,
Am in the process of removing my dampers and I cant get the top nut to budge at all. Sprayed it with WD40 but still no luck. If I was to put the jack under the disc with the car on axle stands would this take some of the pressure off the nut making it easier to undo? Or should I...
I need to put 182 front suspension on as a stop gap while my Sachs are being serviced.
Has anyone got any or know the best place to get some?
Don't make me have to have a look on Cliosport :D
Cheers, Max.
ETA - There are some on Ebay for £40 each, does that sound about right?
I know its a bit mad but over the weekend I had the t detailed by paul dalton aka miracle detail. I cant post any pics (to stupid with computers) but what a job. The t looks fantastic and the wax applied was his crystal rock. The t had paint correction as had water type marks that I could not...
hi folks i went into my local halfords for some oil today and on there recommendation book it said 10/40, so i bought myself some fresh oil(magnatec) and proceeded to do the oil change, anway i came on here only to find out in the mainenance guide that 5/40 is recommended which has me curious to...
Not really a new topic, but I did a search and came up with nothing..

As above, I can slide the seat back and forth with the front lever. But if I try to tilt and slide to get in the back, it tilts but doesn't slide. Can I fix this or does something need to be replaced?
What is the latest thinking on this for the T?
I'm currently looking for a set of wheels and tyres to use on the track (not for the road at all), my starter for 10 is:
16" rims and R888's but is that the best option?? Also, related to the track, what tyre pressures do people think work best...
anyone had there Cat bored out by Mr Fish ?
"Mark Fish Motorsport modifies the standard 200cpsi cat to allow for greater flow. The standard cat is very restrictive at the cat to centre section join."

I'm changing the rear discs on my T tomorrow and wondered if anyone new which way the retaining nut is suppose to turn to slacken? Is it clock wise or anti-clock wise?
My Girlfriend has bought me a pair of Sabelt 3 Point bolt in Harnesses for Christmas so ill have a go at fitting them over the holidays.
I just want to know what you guys did to stop the seatbelt beep noise going off. I think the options are to either source a seat belt clip from another clio...
Hi there,
I recently bought myself a 2002 Clio 172, and it seems to have a bit of a problem with condensation. It seems to get quite steamed up in there, and takes longer than I would expect to clear even with the fans on max. From what I have read, and a bit of common sense, I think that the...
Anyone have any ideas what polish would be best to use on the red paint? I know that red has a bit of a bad reputation when it comes to fading and I really don't want that to happen. I've used the t-cut colour polish and turtle wax equivalent previously (on other cars) and I've also used...
Evening All,
My drivers seat has started to develop a rattle. I've read various posts about this being a fault in the seat runners but does anyone know what the definitive answer is or how to cure it as I can't find it!?
Whenever I brake or go over a largish bump there is a clicking noise like...
Had a run on some Dastek rollers.
Best run was 156.8bhp at the wheels and 192.6bhp at the fly.
Interestingly I had just fitted a green cotton IK and have yet to fit the CAFs. The difference between bonnet up and bonnet down was 4bhp. Not an exact test but give and indication to how much CAFs...
