Hi all,
Took my car for a power run today to see where the clio was at. I know you need to take the results with a pinch of salt but would appreciate anybodys view on whether or not the car is there or there abouts where it should be given its age and milage.
Right the car has done 81000...
Right ive decided to sell my Trophy and want a R27.
Full history and will have 12 months mot
Good bits:
In January i decided that the dampers could do with a refurb, but i got a good deal on a brand new set from West Renault.
So now having new dampers i decided to get new springs and rear...

Pretty extensive service history, self serviced every 6,000 miles for past last two years.
Good condition car for the mileage – few stone chips but no scuffs/dents.
Great engine and gearbox...
Hi guys, since picking up #151 I've not had much chance to put any miles on her as I've been out of town with work. I have had both the timing belt and aux belts changed out and it's driving really well. I put about 150 miles into the car (mostly motorway) and I'm really happy with the drive...
Hi everyone. I recently purchased #151 from a very friendly Robert Evans from this forum. It need a few service issues addressed but I'm happy and it drives extremely well. I have been using the search function but I still have a few questions.
1) Brakes pads are 85% worn acording to the MOT...
Drives better, a few more ponies on the power run (dyno'd) but........ The best bit... The sound is fuggin awesome !!! ;)(vowed never to use that word but nowt else would do)
So just this evening, officially the Trophy changed hands from Sir_Dave to myself. Drives awesome for a Clio with 186,601 miles, better than quite a few clios i've driven actually!
Plans -
Needs an interior so a 172 Cup interior's being sorted.
Fit lower arms and track rod arms/ends off the...
Can anyone help me?
My car is staying on full lock. I accelerate and put on full lock without touching the steering it stays on full lock and drives around in circles.
When I reverse the steering comes back.
i have tried all the basic things such as tyre pressure, changed wheels around...
For sale Renault Clio 182 Trophy number 383/500 registered in 2005 as a ”55” plate.
43,000 miles and is HPI clear.

The car is in fantastic condition and a testament to its previous careful owners...
Well last week was the dreaded mot date. I refitted the cat and new lambda sensor ready for the emissions test, and threw the good o/s/f damper in the boot so my mate could fit it before the mot. The damper that was on was soft and made a horrible knocking nois over any bumps it was ridden...
I've decided to sell as Im after something quicker.
In the time I had the car I've had the Aux belt done along with a service at Birchdown Renault Specialists. They also had a look over the car and said everything was running fine.
Car drives perfect, no knocking or clunks and has been run...

Well, after fitting them last week, setting the front camber to -2 degrees negative on Friday and doing the Llandow trackday with CS yesterday, i can safely say that the H&R's are very worthy replacement to the Sachs.
Handling is nigh on exactly the same as the Sachs/Sportline combo that i had...
So, with the Trophy now being the only car in our household, thus enjoying the odd long journey, I’m somewhat struggling with the drone from the Orbisoud exhaust at motorway speeds… It was never previously an issue because the car was only used at weekends, but during a recent trip to Oxford...
I re-discovered Evo magazine’s raison d’être last weekend – the thrill of driving.
I bought my Trophy (#23/500) in early December. Its one previous owner had serviced it regularly but in most other respects it needed a dose of TLC including: refurbished front dampers; new exhaust; rear...
Having been looking for another trophy for around a month now and there seems to be quite a few that still havent had the dampers re furbed yet.
Just wondering how many on here are still running their cars without problems?

So thought I'd buy an RSTuner, see what the fuss was about. TBH can't say I've noticed the kind of improvement some people talk of, I think its more of a placebo effect of thinking the car must be faster.
Anyhow, did the long drive to Huddersfield and noticed my MPG at the end was 31. I do...
I am one of the people that mourn the loss of Pilot Exalto 2s. I know they do them in 195 50 15 V (at half the bloody price of 16s!) so wondered whether it might be an idea to run 15" wheels and have the benefit of cheaper (better?) tyres?
Could there be other advantages such as lower weight...
does anyone have any more news on the JMS RS2, i have one fitted, are people still having problems mine's only putting out 180bhp instead off the 190ish promised, spoke to an rs tuner and he said he could have got 180 with a remap which is exactly what he did with his brothers car and it was...
Hopped in the car early on Sunday morning and went for a drive...because I could. 140 miles around West Berkshire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire & Gloucestershire guaranteed a smile for the rest of the day!
I didn't see a single speed camera the whole journey (and hope none saw me) but I was...
clio trophy 355,
hi guys testing the water to see what interest i get in the trophy.
Really don't know where to start the car has had an absolute fortune spent on it in the last 6 months.
Me and richard of pyro motorsport( we know these cars inside out) have gave the car a complete overhaul to...
Due to change of circumstances with work im now needing a van, i have been to a few garages and been thinking about p/x the clio. as the max theyll give me is about 3500 ive decided to put it on here for 4000 for a quick sale

Unfortunately the time has come to sell # 167 due to imminent arrival of a little one. We're going to be carrying around more gear than the Trophy can accommodate and need a car that I'm less precious about. It will be a real shame to see her go but is a great opportunity for someone to buy into...
My trophy's recently started making a creaking noise which looks to be coming from the drivers side suspension. You can hear it when driving over any slight bumps in the road and especially over speed bump. Also today noticed what must be a slow puncture as the pressure on this tyre was down to...
Hi, I have owned a Cup packed 182 for over 4 years now, determined to keep it as long as possible.
Always kind of wished for the Trophy set up so I have just invested in a full set of Trophy dampers.
I was wondering what you guys could recommend to get the set up correct. Lots of advice already...
The standard air box seems to have two inlets for air. One with a cold air feed pipe that disappears somewhere underneath the nearside headlamp and another inlet without any cold air feed. Is this right ? Still having trouble with my T :(
As per title?
I honestly can't see myself selling the little bugger. Took it for a blast on some newly discovered B roads recently and was still absolutley gobsmacked at how bloody good it is. :D
I bought a Boxster S six months ago and even though it's a brilliant car, unless you're a...
