Basically what i was wondering is how many people use their Trophy for what it was primarily designed for?, and im not necessarily talking about track days but also just goin out for a pointless drive or a bit of a blast on your favourite stretch of road. As daft as it sounds i sometimes feel a...

Well after a day with a MR2 forum group at Trouqe of the devil it would appear I've come up alittle shy :(
Never mind I had a feeling 182 was going to be abit illusive. Just for comparison has anyone else been dynoed recently and feel like sharing?
Hello boys and girls, I'm back again on the lookout for a Trophy, let me know if you know of any gooduns! :)
Who's still around from the original days?
Finally got round to fitting my mark fish springs and koni rear dampers.
I measured the top of the alloy to the arch before and after fitting and after just rolling it out the garage the fronts dropped 15mm and the rear 20mm.
Heres the car with standard suspension...

As some of you are already aware I have now started a company supplying performance parts for Renault's and many other cars.
My premises is located in Basingstoke in Hampshire just off of the M3 and I share a unit with X Sport Racing who are a well established race prearation...
i've got my 182 cup booked into K-tec next week for a janspeed/K-tec sports exhaust - i'm also really tempted by their "stage 1 tuning package" on offer for under £250 from £380 - has anyone else had it done? :?
seems a shame to undertake a 5 hour round trip & not make the best of it
here's one for the techies out there... do sensors just report or do they control? maybe it depends on the sensor????
i.e. if you get a fault code. could the fault likely be caused a dodgy sensor or could a dodgy sensor have altered the EMS to trip a fault?
this is it. after months of avoiding the issue and thinking of excuses not to, i finally have to sell the poor bugger.
Hopefully it will go to a loving home where it can be driven as was intended and not just the daily commute... :( .
im also advertising on pistonheads and autotrader

Briefly introduced myself in the newbies section last week.
A week down on the ownership of No 427 and all is good.
However someone has attempted to machine polish the car before me owning it and has made a right mess of the paint work, holograms and swirls all over the place. Marks left...
I believe you can get a (?) mechanical Quaiffe diff fitted to a 182...? Around £1000 fitted. Meant to be a very useful mod.
Has anyone got any experience/knowledge?

Hi everyone, as stated I've had an intermittent problem since i've owned the car. Got it checked out once before but nothing was found so I kinda just ignored it but when going along the M27 this morning it seemed to go mad.
A dull drone started up from the nearside front and got louder and...
The time has come to part with my Trophy.
I actually had it up for sale in Feb & had quite a bit of intrest. But alas I had to withdraw from sale as the the deal on my replacement fell through & a day later my wonderful baby daughter was born..... 8 weeks early.

driving home today the exhaust monitor warning light comes on when I get stuck in traffic. This goes of when moving.
The handbook says go to renault soon as. Anyone else had this, if so does the t need a new exhaust.

Interesting article in the June magazine comparing the 200 cup and the 172 cup; 200 was 1.5 secs a lap quicker due to its "trick front suspension system and brakes" but the 172 was "more fun" ( I paraphrase). I believe Mr Metcalfe, who has some standing within said mag, owns a Trophy; I wonder...
Hey,
Does anyone know where the cheapest place to get rear suspension for trophy part number 8200 519 954. I am finding it difficult to find someone that stocks them.

My auntie and uncle came down yesterday for some easter dinner and my uncle was saying how nice the trophy looked how shiny it was
My cousin has a focus ST 07/57 totally standard. Bought it brand new - ......... well my uncle was going on about that he is wanting to sell it to buy a...
As a lot of Trophy's mine is coming up to being 5 years old (50k miles) and due for the cambelt to be changed. Is it worth changing the waterpump while at it?
Anybody had experience with waterpump failures?
Bottom of the page (3) a little vid from yesterdays trackday (my first in the T) taken from a Clio 197 (or 200 - I'm not sure)
a bit damp but not too slippy. I slowed at the end to cool the brakes before coming in - not a breakdown! 8)

Hi all,
Can't quite believe i am doing this, but 007 and i will very very sadly have to part company. Reason being that the Mrs and i are saving for a new house, she has sold her Mini and is saving like mad and truth be told me keeping a 2.0 hot hatch isn't going down all that well. I also have...
Took off the AV today and took some pics of the brake update (new discs, goodridge and pads - the front carbon lorraines are unreal!!). Camber bolts next, and I'm going to change the plugs I think. It's still chilly by the way..... :D
Yo
I've just booked my car in for its 36k at Angelworks in St Neots. It's being done next month.
I've also ordered some bits and bobs to be fitted at the same time - the standard brake upgrade package of Brembo HCs, DS2500s and braided lines. Got that lot for £250 delivered from K-Tec...
Hi all,
I currently drive a DC5 which I'll shortly be selling. One of my reasons for selling is the suspension which, though wonderful on smooth roads, is an absolute nightmare on my daily commute due to the quality of the roads near me. After 18months of ownership I'm ready to move on.
I...
Hi guys, I currently have a 3.0i Z4 and Im looking to downgrade (price wise) to free up a little cash I have sitting in my car. Starting to save for a house.
I was looking at 182's for around the £5.5k mark. However this Trophy has caught my eye...
