A couple of people have had a look at my car,as they believe that the drop-link/anti-roll bar? bush has perished on the driver's side. and as a result when the car is driven, there is a loud creaking noise whenever the steering wheel is turned.
We've had a feel around, and where the anti-roll...

Just rolled over the 36k mark and was after some guidance on where to take the trophy for its due service.
I live in the west middlands, near Wolverhampton and have a choice of neighbouring main dealers but feel that the treatment and price would be much more attractive from a RS specialist...
I'm thinking of getting something RWD to replace my Trophy perhaps an Elise or VX220 but can anyone make any other suggestions or have they had any experience with either car?
Thanks.

I've owned no less than three Type R's before my T. Infact, even my first car was a Type R and so I don't doubt for a second that this 'machine' will be an...
Dear All,
After getting back from South Wales today, I would like to ask: what is the best technique for carrying speed into and out of a corner in a Trophy?
I know all corners are different: different gears required, different braking points, different throttle pressure etc, but is there a...
Having just stepped out of an R27 into a Trophy i was wondering how many miles you guys were getting out of a tank? I seem to be averaging 31mpg on the daily commute, a fair bit more than the R27 at around 26mpg but that also had a bigger tank, so couldn't get my head round the maths!!
I...
Dealers seem to be heavily discounting the 200 CUP... Lookers Chelmsford have a new one with 1mile on the clock in blue, reduced from £15750 to £12,995.
This might be of particular interest to you Rich

time may be up for #356
just recently got married and possibly 356 may now be a little to small for our needs. The wife has her heart set on me getting a 330CI or 330 convertible, cos it looks "posh", and i was thinking of going for a 230 R26.
BUT....... the question I want to throw out there...
Hi All,
I've fitted a new aftermarket steering wheel and while I have managed to turn the airbag light off using a couple of resistors. However, I now have the ESP and Traction Control Indicator Light / Service Light coming on. It only comes on when the car is driven and the light will only go...
I have now decided to give my little trophy a re-map and have looked through previous posts to gain some idea on what folks have done and where they have been, but alas its left me a little confused!
I shall soon be booking in for a service down at rentech and was wondering whether to call into...
I had an amazing opportunity today! driving along in Windsor and i saw a Mclaren Merc SLR Stirling Moss, this one happen to be the first one of the production line and the one taken to Goodwood Festival of Speed this yeah........... yes that means it was the one Stirling Moss himself drove up...
Dont know if you know this but its on 5th gear later, should be interesting to see how much its moved on.(if any?) :?:
Not to everyones taste I will admit but booked a test drive later this week
Bit of a random one this, but I fancied having a moan about the appalling quality of a lot of the driving on our roads. Sometimes it's so bad it actually scares me.
I think my biggest pet hate, or one of them at least, is people who randomly brake for no reason. Not necessarily heavy braking...
It's been a while since i've taken some photos of number 427.
I have also been neglecting the paintwork but as i've been loving driving it again recently my love has been reignited :D

Plus a huge selection of products. I got bored after 4 hours though. Tomorrow i will get...
Short story, my clio has bankrupt me and i need to fix it before i sell it in order to sort out my finances. Damn i miss driving it though, this is the first time i've not driven it for more than 2 days since i got it 13k miles ago :(
Long story:
I loved trophies when they were released but was...
Hey all!
I have refitted the standard head unit and some cheap speakers to my trophy. Therefore i have my focal component setup for sale!
These speakers are designed for high sound quality and in a different league to the usual crap you see in the shops.
Here are a few details:
2-way 13cm...
Yes tread shuffle not truffle shuffle!
Well my question is, is there such a thing? If so what does it mean!
I ask because had the Trophy booked in yesterday as im noticing small knocking noise when moving the steering wheel ever so slightly from side to side! You can also feel it...
My Trophy has had new discs and pads fitted at around xmas time (before I bought it) and I took the trophy out yesterday to show a couple of mates. I must have driven about 10 miles on some country roads, fairly spirited but nothing insane with some mild braking. Next thing I know someones...

I filled up after work on thursday(shell 95 as was only option), drove home, average was 46mpg by the time i'd got back.
Still hovering around 43mpg after work the next day.
Drove up to central london at 8pm, still at...
Im in bit of a predicament. I advertised my car for sale on here and pistonheads. Got loads of interest, the second person to view it, left a deposit, pending the private plate to come off. The plate took longer than expected, but was clear last saturday. Phoned the guy monday, he said it was...
Hoping for some decision making replies here
After doing bedford on monday, i need to improve the brakes, They're good, but not good enough, they are what was on the car when i bought it.
I'm not looking for disc recomendations as such as i have a set of brembo max's sat in the...
This is a bit of a late one, but been too busy to post. Saw a Trophy heading towards Sainsburys in Sevenoaks (on the road where Davis Renault is sited) several weeks back. I was in 415, and exchanged waves with the drive of the Trophy coming the other way. Any clues as to who I waved at?! First...
I'm somewhat concerned by the cost of maintenance for the Trophy, but the question is how often does it need work doing? Do you folks find them to be reliable enough to not worry for a while or is there often an niggling worry that something could go wrong at any minute?
Given that I won't have...
hi,
Been looking to get another car seeing as I have blown my car up at the minute. Now while I love my type R I can't really risk blowing it up again while doing track days. So had a look at swapping to a hot hatch. Looked at all the cars and decided it has to be the clio 182.
Now what I...
