F*ck me, WHAT an engine! And gearbox for that matter. It's more torquey than Type-R lumps of old and still has the same mental top end. The gearbox is so much better than a Clio's and the razor sharp throttle response / lack of engine inertia means heel 'n toe changes are...
Sorry about the subject title,
but i am angry. parked 216 on my parents driveway whilst watching the foot today. when i left it it was fine, but when returning to it after the game i found the following on the passangers front wheel arch!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good knows how it happened, my alarm...
How?! :?
Took the old pads out, gave everything a good clean, wound the caliper piston back in, the inboard pad fits fine. But there is no way the outside pad will fit, the gap between the outer edge of the disc and the caliper / pad retaining bracket is about 2mm too small.
In writing...
Right well i havnt even bought a clio trophy but judging from the reviews on the morego 202, i plan to do this mod to my Trophy.
Opinions please as i know it is a limited edition model.
Would it affect resale in a bad way?
Also does it need mroe power?

I was very excited to read about the new Japanese Civic type R. Apart from a boring 4 door saloon body, the prospect of 225 PS, 8,400 rev limit, reasonable torque, Brembo 4 pot callipers, 18" lightweight rims, gear type LSD, proper independent rear suspension etc was very tempting. Still not a...
Gave them both a clean and the CF bonnet has been removed from the Liquid now... as well as removing the Apex springs and fitting some Sportlines :D
and a hint of what a white 182 might look like
Is it just me or does anyone else get treated like a total tw*t whilst driving their trophy?
On numerous occasions i have been driving the trophy well within the speed limit and have been abused by pedestrians, to whom it must appear i'm travelling much faster than i actually am.
It happened...
Az ne1 fitted 19"s to da Tropyh dey drive? My m8 rekons dat if I fit 'em to ma new Torphy den we'll be able to beat dat bitchin' new Subaru fing. I ain't so sure, tho', I fink dat da wheelz mite stop me from doin' burnouts 'n' stuff. Ma old car (pigs took it away) woz well rapid once I fitted da...
I say Alpina Roadster 3.4 Lux, you say.....???
:)
Just wondering people's thoughts of a Z4 Alpina. I have recently come to research a bit about them and they seem like a fantastic car. However I am aware some people wouldn't be seen dead in one... is that the case here too?
Two...
Loud squeek coming from front of car. Seems to me it's coming from near side suspension. (pushing down rapidally on bonnet suggests this too!)More it's driven in one stint the worse it gets. Anybody had such problems?
Just got back from Northampton after purchasing Trophy 452. :) Pick it up next Saturday.
One owner, ~4900 miles, 55-reg, as-new condition, completely standard. It looks just like all the others, but I'll be sure to post up some pics when I collect it. Haven't looked forward to picking up a...
I have had rapid Clio's since passing my test, :D but since getting married and having 2 children i had to try and purchase cars which fitted the "Family Man" criteria.
But since Renault released the Megane 225 i saw this as my chance to get back in the groove. :D I currently own a Ph2...
Hello all,
I'm David and I'm thinking of getting a Clio Trophy. :) I currently drive an Audi TT Quattro Sport (that I've only owned for six weeks!) and before that I had a Ford Focus RS. I keep reading about how great the Trophy is and it's gradually drawing me in. I suspect I could have a...

I was travelling on the M74 which would take you from Scotland into England on Saturday - 60 mile stretch of road from around the Lanark cut off to just before Gretna and i spotted no fewer than 16 Audi R8s being driven on the opposite side of the motorway. I wasnt even aware they were out yet...
I have a very late Honda Integra facelift car available. Reg'd Dec 2005 (55) so one of the last possible to bring over to pass the ESVA emissions test. Black with black Recaros and in beautiful condition. Just 1250 miles. It's what you might call Q Car spec with lip rear spoiler and de-badged...
OK, I'm 34 and I keep it in a garage in Somerset, and only use it for max 6000 miles a year for social use, but I do have 3 points:
£266.00 FULLY COMP
From RAC care of confused.com.
to cut a long story short, Matt very kindly came round my house today to help me (i say help, he did pretty uch all of it  ) take the legendary pins out of my suspension.
Hit 1 or 2 problems but all is well now and I have been on a 45 minute country road drive on 24 a side and the...
I have fallen in love with all vechiles BMW m3 so in 6 months time and a lot of saving i am going to get one . I have never driven one so any comments on handling performance mpg .
out of interest, how does the trophy suspension compare with a clio 182 on aftermarket coilovers say H&R's.
which is likely to perform better.
If nobody knows then I will let you know what the answer is because me and some friends are doing a trackday...obviously my trophy, a 172 cup on...
Mentioned selling my Williams Clio the other day, now cleaned (looking good) and on sale. Also LHD 106 Rallye with trackday suspension and tyre mods too. Both priced at £2995 - I don't really want to sell either but needs must. Details are on classified eBay ads. Already some interest in...
If you and your mates fancy a run to the 'Ring then I have just what you need. Four Trophys in stock from only £10995. I might even tag along.

Just got the replacement for the Trophy yesterday. 20k miles on the clock and paid £14,750 from a trader completely factory standard. I feel guilty for saying it but it's better than the Trophy in every aspect in my opinion:
The clutch pedal is harder, the brake pedal is harder and has...
