Heres some pics of Rou our wicked red vts. Rou short for rouge (red in french)
Had her a week now, shes had a new battery, new wipers, 4 new tyres, new bulbs, new number plates and had a good clean
Now that the 197 Cup has arrived I intend to buy one in the new year. This will mean that my beloved trophy will have to go, as (as much as I have tried) I can't find the funds (of justification) to keep both! So I'm putting him up for sale soon :( . If there is anyone out there who is...
since around a month or two ago, every time i fill up, i notice that the petrol dial goes down much faster than it is supposed to...however, the digital dial does not coincide with the dial. The digital dial is much more accurate.
i.e. i filled up saturday and have hardly driven the car...
Had a bit of spare time on my hands yesterday so took the Clio out for a blat last night.
After a while turned the ESP off. Wow! Transforms the car!
Acceleration has more bite as does the handling.
The car is brilliant without the Esp on. Just shows how well sorted the chassis set up...
There's quite often threads along these lines, but Karlos's thread about the pre-eminence of the Trophy got me thinking of where it sits in the pantheon of ordinary to become performance cars.
Integras do not count because (I don't think!) you could get say a 1.1 60bhp version like you could...
Having had a plethora of hot hatches (and having the Trophy for 1 week) I can honestly say that i don't think that you could do much better than a trophy for everyday use. I traded in my Elise for this car and I believe its quicker!
More than anything you get the feeling from the driving...
As some of you will be aware I sold my Trophy about 2/3 months ago and bought a diesel due to amount of miles I was commuting. Well different job means I now don't need a diesel and can go back to something more fun.
Mrs and I both love the Integra DC5 (champ white) so will be looking around...
Yes time has come to sell the car that started this forum :(

Read this Manufacturer's description for the pilot exalto PE2 on a tyre website (not sure which) yesterday. Thought it was of interest......
Manufacturer's Description:
The Pilot Exalto PE2 is Michelin's entry level Ultra High Performance Summer tyre designed to raise both the status and...
A bit of a landmark day with the 50th Clio Trophy being delivered and buying the first FD2 CTR from Japan. Funny how in the 21st C you can spend a shed load of money when you are asleep!
Brand new delivery mileage car in Champ White. Reg'd Sept so will be 57 plate. To be advertising later for...

Four coats of Zymol Royale Estate Glaze at £7K a pot.

It's my brother in law's - as clean an example as you'll get, he's a detailing fanatic.
I don't even think it's been driven above 70mph either...
Well, it hasn't been long in my hands and already I've decided that it's time to be a bit braver! I got married a couple a months ago as many of you know, and bought the R26 to replace my beloved Trophy #185. Having realised that I've probably only got a couple of years left to be utterly...
Trophy was mighty at Silverstone - both in the dry and the wet, lost count of the number of times we passed porsches, ferraris, lotus and other slowly driven exotica - the DB9 was a highlight!
If anyone is interested.
Dear Julian,
Having presided over the first bank run in the UK since 1866, Alistair Darling is now about to add an extra 2.35p tax to every litre of fuel sold in the UK. This tax hike comes into force at the start of next week, just as oil prices are at record...
Have to say i was mightily impressed with the above article in this months Evo magazine and pleasantly surprised by the outcome. I owned an E30 M3 a number of years back and it was an amazing piece of kit - i've always been tempted to buy another one but was put off by the fact that my good...
Was on the car for about 2000 miles, car spent all of its time in garage and was only driven in the dry when my dad owned it.
Since the exhaust was removed its sat in the garage.
Price £70ono.
PM me for info
It is with a heavy heart that i am putting my Williams clio 2 up for sale.
When i bought this car it was with the intention of restoring her however a change of job has resulted in a 600 mile per week commute so i think a diesel is going to be the way forward for me despite the car returning...
There seems to be a few 'Trophy meets... ' pictures so here's an abstract one for the mix :) I have still only driven the Exige in the rain LOL Test drive this afternoon...
I am hoping you guys will be able to help. I am looking at buying a Trophy. I am considering buying the car unseen - the owner seem genuine.
I appreciate this varies but could you give me some idea on life expectancy of the tyres and brake pads please.
My local dealer seems pretty poor...
I picked up #165 last night... and my girlfriend and I decided to take our cars out earlier this evening to grab a few pictures. Here they are! I'm still grinning having experienced the handling that the Trophy is renowned for. :D
Cheers,
SharkyUK
Does anyone know of a problem where the car seems to lack power. My car seems to lack power intermittently. At its worst it drives as if it has around 80 / 90 hp. It has no low down torque meaning it's most noticeable when pulling away or trying to overtake other traffic. It also runs a bit...
Hi guys
I'm a newbie here and i am helping my mate out has she is interested in buying a Trophy.
Just wanted to know if there is anything i should be looking out for good and bad.
Many Thanks
Dee :)
I thought i'd ask on here as ClioSport was going to give me all sorts of silly answers.
Right the 182 is due her annual service end of Sept, done no where near the mileage, but want things kept up to date & make sure everything is as it should be.
The car will go to Mike @ RenTech after...
I'm sitting at 21,500, almost 12 months since my last service and needing a new pair of front shoes. Over the next 5 weeks I've got to cover a few thousand miles including a trip to the Scottish Highlands.
By the time I head off to Scotland on September 8th I'll probably be around the 23K -...
