Don't confuse it with a StreetKa, and you can't criticise the looks of a SportKa too much when you drive a MK II Clio! It's a sharp, coherent design with really good lines.

Ah well, each to his own, it's one of the great mysteries as to why i've always had a soft spot for the clio.

A company called Pumabuild, who put the rear discs on my Puma, will drop a 1.7 Puma engine into a Ka and tune it up to 155hp if you've got the bottle (and the money).

Would that be an adequate Streetka?

155bhp/0.934tonnes x 1.016 = 168.6 bhp/ton, only one point behind the Trophy. I wonder how well it would cope with the 70% power increase though?

I agree with sentiments expressed on the SportKa being a fun car. I had one for a week or so when my Ka was at the dealers for warranty work. It was around the time that I was thinking about a replacement which turned out to be my Trophy and I'm so glad that I went down this avenue! Being a previous Ka owner, I do like the shape of them and I also feel that for a small low power car, they're bags of fun. Handling is great and the car is so exploitable. The SportKa that I had was in the ford racing blue and it did look very good. My girlfriend now has the Ka and in the back of my mind I always fancied the idea of one day stripping it out and getting a better engine and suspension sorted out for it.. A DIY project.. Perhaps I shall but right now it's a dim distant memory in comparison to the Trophy!! 8)
