If only I could fit into an Exige/Elise. Would definitely consider a MK1.

Really tempted by the Mustang Bullitt though, a proper muscle car, even down to the live rear axle.

Dream next car would be a GT-R of course. Quicker than a GT2 and Cayman money. Money no object would be a 430 Scuderia.

Be interesting to see how the GT-R is marketed/bought/sold over the next 18 months. A sub 50k OTR price and all that kit and potential must be really appealing for those in the RS4 - e90 M3 bracket.

I like the focus rs but supposedly they are badly made as evo put it some good some bad? Whatever that may mean. I would be tempted as always wanted an Escort Cosworth.

The trophy will be staying with me as my fun daily car that will see track every now and then, and of course I have the megabusa to share with my brother, so no need for anything faster than the trophy as my daily car! I am still truly in love with the trophy!

So I will have these 2 for the next couple of years....

then when the megabusa goes, so will the trophy.....

for a nice car....new boxster (987), BMW Z4M, SLK 55 AMG sort of car. And hopefully me and my brother will be looking at an XTR2/XTR4 or a Radical by then too!

Looks brilliant how much? 36k?

Actually just short of 40  which in all honesty is an outrageous ammount of money to spend on a "toy". It will outperform the Trophy almost everwhere but at Three times the price, three times as good? i doubt it, pound for pound there can't be many out there that do.

Doesn't stop me wanting one though

Must admit 40 k is a lot for a car when you can get a 350z for 26k. (Think I ve already said that on this thread!). I d rather do that and get a bike for 8k with the change!!

Think thats why you see so many low mileage, multiple owner elises/exiges out there. The idea of them is very cool, but getting your money's worth out of them isn't as easy

I agree - I was in a position to buy either the 350Z or an Exige, and well, one Orange Beast later and the decision was made :) I'm also not a fan of engines that don't ooze character, which the Toyota's unit doesn't IMHO. It's also the reason an Evo appeals, but is a bit characterless despite its awesome capabilities (I am not sure you can grow to love it other than respect it).

It'd be hard to justify even as a second car (as then you can really get a dedicated track weapon like an Atom... drool!).

Anyone seen the Ring Asta VXR limited numbers to 855 (i think) to represent time it took to do Ring.

The Remus exhaust on it is supposedly lethal and adds 20bhp!

Agreed... plus the Remus I had in the past was very heavy too...

IIRC there are 835 (its yaaaawwwwnnnn, ring lap time 8:35) and I think the power outputs remain the same.
Edit: just reread the pistonheads article. It does say 20 from an exhaust?! :?

I would describe an S3 as a washing machine, fast but bland, if that makes sense?

Some guy on the RSUK forum has gone 197 to the new S3 now back to a 197 R27, all since June or July  :?
My first thought is always "will it be fun" and go from there :)
Pure speculation, but I'm not sure that it is.
