Hi James,
Just an update; the car is now back together with a rebuilt gearbox + Blackline LSD, new OEM clutch and a TTV l/w flywheel.
With the current typical winter weather, I haven't been able to take the Trophy out for a blast, but initial impressions are pretty good. The car certainly steers better and you can power out of corners a lot earlier than you would have done otherwise. The front-end does feel more connected and I personally think that there is a bit more feedback coming through the wheel. All positive as far as I'm concerned. Other than the gearbox, the car is completely standard.
If we get a salt-free dry day between now and the spring, I'll definitely try and take the car up into the Brecon Beacons for a good winter blow-through and give you a better idea how the car feels.
