You mentioned the Xenons and there is no mention of the word Trophy, that was why he asked.

Have you got a link to the advert? You can often pick up a lot about the owners of cars from how the advert is written. I know it is a bit judgmental, but it has not let me down in the past.

The one that is for sale on here @ £5000 seems like a great deal for the buyer, have you considered that one?

lol. Poor spelling, poor maintenance ;)

Re: the OP's question, seeing the ad would help massively. I would rather buy a mint, well looked after one with 93k on it, but the belts recently done by a specialist/dampers already done, than one with 40k and an average history. I do drive one with 183k on it though, so im not exactly normal.

That depends, does it have full history or not?

You said 'it looks to' lol ... who did the belts/have the dampers been refurbed/what brand are the tyres?

The service book has wrote in it saying belts and dampers.

There's an invoice for the belts but not the dampers.

It will be law this year to have properly setup xenons. Ie. self levelling and washing. So errr aye best get them ripped out. lol

I for one am over the moon. I'm sick of being dazzled by chavs and their super dooper blue vision xenon hid tatty things.

Who did the belts? Specialist/Renault, or some random garage - makes a bit difference to sale price imho.

Also, being a Trophy, people will want proper tyres on it. Lack of proof for damper refurb is also an issue.

Bear in mind that getting the cambelt/dampers/tyres done is roughly £500 each.

I'll agree with that though I guess it will be down to MOT stations to interpret/enforce.

OP, you are not painting an encouraging picture so far.

Couple of points about the ad :)

No mention of tyre brand, also the mileage seems to have gone backwards between 2010-2011.

26.11.06 - 19,257 miles serviced by Renault
20.10.07- 19,363 miles serviced by RPM auto service center
06.05.09- 36,899 miles serviced by Wingrove motor Co
12.05.10- 58,923 miles cam belt and water pump replace by Evans Halshaw Renault (no stamp but invoice present)
27.04.11- 56,463 miles serviced by Wingrove motor Co (no stamp)
24.04.11- 76,060 miles serviced by Wingrove motor Co (no stamp)

With it now on 93k, why havent you serviced it in 20k miles? It'll also need the aux belt doing asap (no mention of it being done with cambelt & its due every 36k). In addition, as Wingrove Motor Co are a Citroen main dealer, they will have copies of your invoices on file - give them a call and they should send you a copy/at least confirm the work done.

The above will help your sale greatly imho.
