B*gger. Are there any 15" steelies from a rendom Clio that may squeak it? I should have remembered doing the same thing with my Mark III Escort many years ago and couldn't get the swines over the fronts then either.
I have 15" steels on mine and no problems. Tried to get 16" winter tyres but no luck and I was in a hurry. Here in Munich the tyre fitters thought my "little race car" was hilarious.
The tyres are 185/55's and when you accelerate to overtake someone the car steers all over the place. Great in the snow though. Mountain passes are no longer a problem!
I don't have any details on them. I'll look tonight.
The steels on my car are unbranded so I'll see if it says anything on the receipt.
In the meantime, before and after pics so you can see how bad it will look!

Hi.
Yeah, I bought it in the uk and took it straight to Munich. I'm contracting over here at the moment (BMW / Mini ). I'll keep it registered back home. Only trouble is that insurance is more expensive like that.
I was thinking of getting a FF 182 or saving up for something more exotic. When I heard about the trophy I thought it was perfect for me. I had a look at one to check I liked the colour and ordered one for the 55 plate.
It's really good fun when you find a mountain pass, but most of the time I'm driving in town or on the autobahn. Still fun obviously, but not so suited to cruising. Also a bit small for snowboarding and biking trips, but so are all the nice cars!
Definately have to meet up with everyone at the ring when the weather is more suitable.
