Hi - probably a dumb question, but if I want to get #478 feeling as "new" as I can, and i'm already all-in for a BG damper refurb, assume it makes sense to do the rears as well.
Original sachs rears seem to be £105 as well - questions are:
- Just the shocks, or make sense for Springs as well...
So, my dampers are well and truly in need of a refurb :(
Whilst they're off the car, I thought I might as well collect some bits to give the suspension a bit of an overhaul / refresh.
I'll be replacing the steering rack bushes, ARB bushes, track rod arms and boots, track rod ends, lower...

The car came with them fitted.
I also got the standard springs as part of the deal.
Without changing them around, can somebody tell me,,
Are the MF springs shorter an stiffer than he standard ones.?

Hi, this is what i currently run with some thoughts on changes;
JMS RS2 with upgraded engine mounts ( probably replace with standard and get updated map )
upgraded dogbone and gearbox mounts.
fully polybushed all round.
whiteline rear arb.
standard suspension all round with refurbed front sachs...
Which dampers do you guys order from larkspeed, the only ones I can find say they excluding cup and trophy.
I know the fitments the same but I'd assume dampening rates are different.

Fronts refurbed and de pinned by cornering force the week before last (receipt to prove),
New sachs rear dampers (done less than 500 miles)
Yellow original front Eibach springs (or sportlines if you prefer however these have spring rates not suitable for the t)...
I'm thinkng of changing my 16" trophy turinis for road and hopefully future track use, i just wanted to ask is there a noticable difference in handling acceleration etc going to some 15" td pro race 3's? I'm off to collect a set tomorrow!

Put the Trophy in for its annual service/MOT and it turns out BOTH front springs are broken and a rear damper is leaking. Car had basically sat for 6 months straight beforehand so I am surprised. Front dampers are fine with no leaks (they were refurbed last August). My questions to you good...

I have now had Cooksports on my T for a week now. A point to note, my front Sachs dampers are in good condition, refurbed recently and no leaks... Rears however are cup shocks, awaiting new Sachs/Koni's to go on.

Well I've had the car quite a while now and I'm really enjoying it. Anyway I've spent a few quid on the car lately sorting out some bits and bobs that were bothering me. The new additions include:
Miltek catback
Eibach Sportlines and camber bolts
Heko wind deflectors
Also a few months back now...
Since swapping my springs over to sportlines I now have 3 front springs!
Selling the best condition 1 of the lot, done around 40k iirc, pictures on request.

So my nearside shock failed a few weeks ago and got sent off to Simon st cornering force for a rebuild + powder coating.
I decided to go for yellow to match the rear konis and also got a set of sportlines to go on them, so I googled the colour code for the konis and passed them on to Simon...
I'm looking to buy a set of 2118's as my turini's are shagged. But is it going to look like a moon buggy with the 15" wheels without lowering it? Or will I need lowering springs to avoid the puddle jumper look? Has anyone got a picture with the, on without the car being lowered?

My T is on Cup dampers and crappy lowering springs and I'm considering what's the best plan.
I don't think the price of new Sachs will ever be reflected in the car's value, so what's the general consensus - fit a decent set of coilovers, or leave it on the Cup dampers but swap the crappy...
I set the newly refurbed dampers to (what I thought was) 22 clicks. It was as stiff as anything, handled well but felt extremely unstable on the motorway and there was literally no body roll.
I've turned them down a few times and there's a slight bit of body roll now and it feels better...

Very pleased so far, ride is lovely, far better than the Sachs in fact, which would imply that they are probably a little softer. Havent really pushed it particularly hard as the camber/toe...
