    Wiper Mechanism Failed

Hi all, My wiper arm gave up last week and snapped leaving me with the drivers wiper stuck in the middle of the windscreen at 40mph in very bad rain. It almost resulted in me stuffing it into the back of a Police car who ironically enough had broken down by the side of the road. Luckily I was...

RS Twingo - H&R coilover question

Hi guys. I'm contemplating some decent coilovers for my RS Twingo but have a question or two... The Twingo is based on the Mk2 Clio platform, with the rear beam axle having the usual clio style seperate springs and dampers. Front suspension is set to similar angles as the Trophy and shares...

    Front Brake Pads (Again)

I know this is a much discussed thread and I’ve trawled through the searches, but anyway I’m still undecided... My front pads are nearing the time to be replaced at the moment I've got the Standard Renault discs and pads. I’ve bought myself the Brembo HC Disks but I’m undecided which pad to...

Anyone using AST suspension on their Trophies ??

Hi guys , I had thought that I would go for the Nitron Damper setup that K-Tec are developing for the Trophy but have read great things about AST. And I just wondered if anyone on here has them fitted and what they think ? Cheers Neil

    Renault specialist in Essex

Hi guys, looking for someone around the area who knows there stuff, rather than letting my old grease monkey play with my car. It will only be for future maintenance not tuning, but I would rather let a specialist do it. Any recommendations? Be grateful if you could help. Thanks, Luke.

Well as some of you will know I have just got my new trophy last week (no 451) and thought I would take it to Cit-Ren in Norwich for a checkover and to get some little jobs doing , door switch failed etc etc. Well I got a nasty surprise , the former keeper has replaced the front Sachs dampers...

Hi Guys , well have only just got my very first Renault Sport and it's number 451. I have driven lots of fast Clio's over the years and was looking for a reasonably priced Clio for trackdays and a little bit of agile fun. I have always loved the look of the Trophy and even though I am a VAG man...

Stiff suspension = unstable at speed?

I set the newly refurbed dampers to (what I thought was) 22 clicks. It was as stiff as anything, handled well but felt extremely unstable on the motorway and there was literally no body roll. I've turned them down a few times and there's a slight bit of body roll now and it feels better...

    195 vs 205 Tyres

I am in need of 4 new tyres and looking at prices for premium brand 205/45/16 tyres are £100+ each including P&P/fitting. I used to run a ph2 172 and they ran on 195/45/16. I remember with Conti Sport on the 172 the handling was more playful than the Trophy. Has anyone considered or are...
