Just came back from a few days in the Isle of Wight.
Took the Trophy (filled with camping stuff) and left the wifes 182 FF at home.
Spend most of the week dodging poor road repairs. Sometimes when it 'appears' perfectly flat that can be even worse.
Makes me think its too hard for carry good...
Just been out checking my front tyres and they are wearing out more on the outside of the tyre. Not by much but easily noticable. Was wondering what this is down to, camber angle?(I had my camber adjusted to the factory setting by mark fish) Am doing lots of motorway miles so I guess this is...
A few pics my mate took of mine and my mates cars over the weekend:
Some of the sessions were dangerously wet, and a couple were bone dry...all i will say is R888's in wet...not overly dangerous, R888's in dry transform the car!
brothers evo 9 with friend mk1 172:

Yesterday morning i levered myself out of bed at 5.30 to make the 80 mile trip to Mark Fish to get;
Goodridge Braided brake hoses,
Pagid RS4-2 pads
Brembo Max discs
Combrake solid top mounts fitted
Sachs dampers unpinned
And camber (2 degrees) and alignment (10 minutes) dialed in...
hi... just had 2 new exaltos fitted to the front of #356....... but the steering does not feel right.
when im up to speed 30mph+ the steering his fine..... nice and weighty.
But when im below 30mph+ and especially when im just moving the car i get no weight or feel...... it feels like im...
Surprised to find that after 7,500 fairly pacy miles I've more or less finished my front Exaltos off . Reckon they'll get to the service in June, by which time they'll deffo be dead, so say 8,500 tyre life.
Can anyone beat this purely on-road caning of a set of Trophy fronts?
I went to Bedford aurodrome the other day and-
In the wet morning the Clio was very tail happy and a whole lot of fun.
As the track started to dry the car became amazing. As the front started to slide, a very slight lift would bring the back end gently into line with no real danger...

Need 4 new tyres, couple of quick questions please folks;
Is it best to stick with the exaltos or are the PS2s better or any other worth considering ?
What should I be looking to pay, all fitted ?
Last set did 13k - is that high/low/normal would you say ?
Trophy was mighty at Silverstone - both in the dry and the wet, lost count of the number of times we passed porsches, ferraris, lotus and other slowly driven exotica - the DB9 was a highlight!
Hi There
Im going out for a bit of a spirited drive tmor and want to check all my tyre pressures, now i know they are in the manual but do people follow them or is there a set you guys use ?

Hi There
Had my trophy for around a month now and yesterday ive had my first "real" problem
As i left my workplace and was driving down the road the radio turned off, all the dials went a bit mad and the trip computer completley reset itself ....
As i drove it down the road i was...
I am buying a car that needs a little spending on it including a 12,000 mile service, new front tyres, road tax, small dent repair (paint intact) and possibly a new wheel.
I really want to get the most out of this Trophy so what I want to know is:
If you could make only 3 modifications to...
Hi all,
Got told about this wonderful stuff - think I will have to treat the old girl to a few litres of this 'bad boy' stuff. Anyone fancy meeting down Maidstone for a group buy? lol.

Hi bit unsure what tyre pressure is for the Trophy, I ve searched net and only found some general bumf saying 33 front and 31 rear.
Trying to get set up for steering right as one tyre is brand new and other on front is half worn so have slight pull to the left!
Can anyone help?
first off, what are the recommended tyre pressures for the road??
secondly, what pressures do people run around track?? Same as on the road, slightly less?? Slightly more??
anyone know what i should be running for Donington?
advice please :D
out of interest, how does the trophy suspension compare with a clio 182 on aftermarket coilovers say H&R's.
which is likely to perform better.
If nobody knows then I will let you know what the answer is because me and some friends are doing a trackday...obviously my trophy, a 172 cup on...
....right, get the grey matter working....
I'm embarking on a project car for track use.... any ideas of what to start with..

Going to get my car 4 wheel aligned next week, after i have fitted a new set of exaltos.
This is to try and eradicate the twitchy, 'searching' feeling i'm getting under hard acceleration and braking.
Can anyone help me with the following:
1, What is exactly adjustable on the trophy? Front /...
Got a bit carried away today
My exhaust (standard 'high quality' item) is making strange noises again.. So I concluded something had to be done! Then concluded whilst I am at it makes sense to do something on the induction and ECU side.
ITG panel filter and KTR grp N ECU choices...
Now that the red beast has died (see R.I.P. #230 post in clio discussion) I've got my eye on a Ford Focus RS.
On looking through tuning mags such as Performance Ford I noticed that a number of people have tuned their RS's to 400bhp and beyond, however, their 0-60 times haven't improved in...
I just spotted this on the Renaultsport forum "panel of experts" bit:
Eldorado asked: 182 service
Am I right in saying that my 182 clio needs servicing either every 12k miles or every 12 months? If so, why was this changed from every 24 months? Isn't a service every year a little excessive...

Last week end while at ultimate street car @ santa pod after a lot of hasle off my mates i reluctanly took my trophy down the drag strip.
First run ever on a drag strip i managed 15.5 beating a v6 calebra 16.6

Many thanks to Olis for recommending Aurok for my geometry check. Although using the ‘old fashioned’ method of string and gauges, they confirmed my suspicions of incorrect tracking and mismatched camber angles. The camber was obviously slightly out from the factory but the tracking...
Hi everyone,
I have been driving my trophy for nearly a year now and i am very happy with it! :D
Taken me a while to sign up but im here now, after 10 months of driving without even checking the tyres i thought i better so i brought the £22 accutire pressure gauge and found the...
