I am considering buying a second hand 993 as a weekend car (or perhaps as a daily driver and turning the Trophy into a weekend car). Something with around 30-50k miles on it.
Has anyone had any experience owning a 993 (or the previous model) in the past? I'm interested even if you've driven...
I'm sure this has been discussed at length before, but how do these two compare? Obviously I could search old posts, but...
I know some people here have owned both, and I'd be interested to know their thoughts.
I'm not going to buy one - I specifically looked for four seat car when I...
We all know that Renaultsport will release a Cup version of the 197 in a years time or so, along with a hundred or so other packs and variants but will they relesase a Trophy version, perhaps at the end of it's run?
If so, what would people like to see in the Trophy version? I'll start...
I just realised the website was one year old on the 7th July. No prizes for guessing why there wasn't a big celebration that day. Nik, you're obviously not from London to launch a website on that day.
Who's got the oldest Trophy on here? And who has done the most miles?

This weekend I was driving around with the window down, and noticed that i am getting a rattling creaking noise from the window.
It is fine when it is all the way up/down, but when it is in between the noise starts.
It is starting to do my head in
Any ideas.
Steve
Here's another quick question!!! ;)
My Trophy is Superguarded from the dealers, but I want to clean it and Zymol it today! Should the Zymol products strip back the Superguard, or do I need an additional cleaner/solvent to get rid of it?
Evening all, not strictly a car for sale as I have only been offered it. Would be interested with as much feedback as possible as to what you all think this is worth. 0404 Clio V6 255 in Mars Red with 33k and FRSH. Recent service and 4 new tyres. 3 owners but warranted mileage. So, to summarise...

Woo Hoo, 10,400 miles of fun fun fun driving. Only a few small problems, (being hit up the arse and the dodgy sensor). But all in all i love the Trophy. Will be staying for a long while.
Should reach 12,000 by next week. Nice trip to France on Thursday. lol
Parking in the middle of nowhere in our office car park has been clocked by some work warriors.
The've devised a game to see who can park the closest to my beloved!
A mates 'Big Vern' Volvo V70 will be called into action next week....
R.I.P yellow VX220 and red VTX.
My car has just hit the 10k mark with no major problems at all (Touch Wood :? )
I cant belive that in 6months I have done so many miles. Good thing is later this year i am moving in with my Partner, which is only 10min walk from work, so during the week the car will be parked up and i will...
So tickling along this morning on the way to work, dashboard lights up all over the place! ABS warning light, Traction control light (the one that flashes normally) and the Service light all came on, in yellow however not red; but with no "stop" light illuminated.
After a visit from Renault...
Hey all i've just bought a Trophy - number 328, Matty's old car. Hopefully collecting it on the 3rd April, all being well.
I can't wait, test drive this morning blew me away and i knew that i'd be buying it. Still has the number plate T23PHY too.
Reading all these reports about what might be 'normal' for a Trophy (the suspension clunk?) and what is definately not (the sticking throttle) made me think we need some feedback from the guys who developed the car at Renault. Maybe they need some feedback from US too!
This forum is probably...
Test-driving the £12995 trophy out of Renault in Coulsdon this Friday and boy am I going to wring it's neck out!
I figure I'm going to head South towards Merstham on the A23 then return via the country roads through Chipstead that run parallel to the A23 to ensure that my passenger will...
newbie post i'm afraid!! I have recently purchased an '04 172Cup covered 12k. After 2weeks blissful ownership last night I noted a recurrent thud/knock has appeared at low speeds from engine bay/ nsf wheel arch. Any clues??
Not necessarily linked but also found on reaching full lock there...
I just thought I'd tell people that I've sold my Trophy.
I've done 10,000 miles in 5 months, half a dozen trips to the Nurburgring in it, and a couple of Bedford trackdays. I've only ever driven it to, on or from a track, it seems !
It's been great fun.
But rwd, 360bhp, the howl of...
My clio is exactly 28 days old (in my ownership) and has covered exactly 1000 miles! I have more than trebled my monthly mileage since owning it! can't stop driving it!!!
....and I get a speeding ticket!!!!!
I've had 7 years of breaking the speed limit and almost as soon as I jump into a bright red hot hatch I get clobbered!
I can't really complain though, 3 points and £60 is getting off lightly as the policeman was lenient!!!
It would appear the Trophy is a finely honed pheasant killing implement.
Whilst I wouldn't condone the killing of innocent creatures the fact this bird flew into the front of my car kind of serves it right especially as I now have a broken half grill !! Don't suppose anyone knows how much...
Just a question? I am out and about today and i think i might have spied me a lesser spotted Stromba! I know his Mrs has a 172, anyone know what colour it is and if she has a personal number plate??? Just want to know if it could possible be him? No sign of the Williams though. Suprise surprise...
After having my trophy for only a week i feel a letter of complaint coming on!! not to the dealership but to renault themselves
Another member off here told me of a few things to check on the car before i paid for it, well the front splitter was missin so had to rebook it in to...
Hi
Just made this post on CS forum and someone suggested I make the post here.
Any way I am trying to track down the previous owner of a 182 Trophy, reg no. RK55 WTZ, the car is damaged and being sold by the insurance company.
Any help appreciated.
thanx
Does anyone know why there is a 'button' at the bottom of the footwell where the accelerator is?
The only reason I can think of is to de-activate the speed limiter cruise control. Other than that... pointless?
Apolgies if this one's been seen/ debated before - I did a quick search and could find nowt.
When I open up and the revs go above 5000 I see a cloud of exhaust gasses in the rear view mirror (Note to self: keep eyes on road when pushing on!)
The haze is not dark and oily but more like a water...
Number 104 signing in, greetings and salutations.
Have been lurking for a while, but thought I ought to register. Had #104 since June, so about 8,900 miles under the wheels now.
Had intended to keep my full fat 182 (with cup suspension) for a long time but then my fiance told me Trophys...
