Now don't shoot me, but I'm a Civic Type R driver, had one for 4 years and looking for a change.
Been considering a cup for a while, and now that Trophies are starting to 'possibly' fall into my price range, I thought I'd do some research!
Now there's no doubting the looks, performance...
What is the most amount of miles you have ever got out of one tank of Fun Juice in your Trophy's?
I have driven like an absloute saint for a week in a quest to find out. . . .
And considering i do a lot of stop-start journeys with my work, i think i have done quite well. But before i...

The other day my petrol gauge was reading just under the 1 bar, no petrol stations for quite a while and couldn't be arsed to turn around and find a closer one. Got me thinking what was the best MPG anyone has had? Excluding motoways & dual carriageways. On some nice twisty roads I managed 42mpg...
If you are "modding" your car and adding BHP or using it on track then consider your oil choice carefully as the stock manufacturers recommended oil will not give you the protection that your engine requires.
A standard oil will not be thermally stable enough to cope with higher temperatures...
Hi all,
I seem to be increasing the number of miles that I am now doing and am cosidering a mile cruncher (read: 320d) as my daily driver. I feel I am not doing the Trophy any justice :(
Just as a guide my car gets equal if not better treatment than my girlfriend including:
- Washer...

Hi guys.
I currently own a 320bhp 1600cc Escort RS Turbo. It is a truly awesome car in very many ways, but I am considering moving on. It is so difficult as that car gives me SUCH a buzz to drive.
Problem is, it's starting to show its age and is getting to the point where I may have to...
anyone else thought of changing the bonnet for something lighter like carbon fibre - obviously having it painted in capsicum.... must save a kilo or 2...
Am downsizing to pay for the rest of this season's racing and so selling the Trophy for funds. It's been a good experience, great car and staggered at how much running in it took before the engine loosened up and performance started to really appear. Now it's aproper little roller skate...
Just a quick question, whats your mpg like at the mo? My Dads moved jobs a couple of weeks ago and since the longer journey to work the mpg has gone up .1 everyday!
Its now at 34.5mpg and hes only using unleaded as there is no super around here.

After months of waiting our local Tesco's have just got the 99 RON fuel in. Since I got the Trophy in October it's always ran on Shell Optimax so thought I'd stick a tank full of Tesco's special in. Bloody hell, if you can find a Tesco's that sell it then stick a tank full in, I burnt £25...
Just had a check of my trip computer too see what mpg i've been getting (I wouldn't normally bother checking, as long as its not single figures I don't really mind but if the facility is there then why not use it!)
Was a bit surprised to see I was getting 28mpg. I know its a big engine for...
Just hunted down some of my favourite car vids, thought I should share the download links with you lot. The vids are quite old, so apologies if any of you have seen these before. I think it is best to right click on the links and save target to your hard disk, as the clips are quite large -...

Does anyone know why there is a 'button' at the bottom of the footwell where the accelerator is?
The only reason I can think of is to de-activate the speed limiter cruise control. Other than that... pointless?
Hello all
I've now done almost 2k miles and the car is really loosennig up. Seems to thrive on being driven hard. averaging 31mpg which is not bad overall.
Couple of issues:
1. Sometimes the rev limiter kicks in at 6400rpm. To stop this i stop and restart the engine. I thought it...
I hav had my Trophy now for a few weeks but I didnt receive a dedicated Renaultsport manual, or anything to explain the alarm, all I received was a basic clio manual, should I have had anything else?

Just wanted to know how good the handling is? Does it have similar dampers to the Trophy gas/oil or is it just gas but not remote ones as on the spec it says:
Suspension: Front Macpherson struts, Sachs dampers Rear Control Blade multi-link, Sachs dampers.
Has multi-link rear suspension...
Call me stupid but after a week of owning the car I have failed to work out some things.
1- How do I display the mileage reset . What I mean is, I can see my total mileage but not the mileage that you reset when you fill with petrol.
2 - What is the little knob under the passenger mirror...
