Thy hallowed day will be Thursday 19th November. He will be removing and refitting too. Apparently the quickest turn around he can do is the following afternoon, as he has to spray loctite over it and let it sit overnight. I'm having new adjusters too, as when the pin is removed, the shaft the...
Hi all,
I am completely new to Renaults full stop, I have only ever had fords/vauxhalls in the past so i'm out of my depth but as you will see I couldn't pass this up!.
Not sure where to start really, I was offered a clio as an ex company car (who I work for) and was told it had high mileage...
Just got the Trophy back with my newly refurbished Sachs front dampers which had failed at 22.5k, wow what a difference :D

My Sachs have now been rebuilt at a cost of £583.20 (inc VAT) by BG Motorsport. A brilliant service, very quick turnaround and smiles all round.
However, I am a little frustrated with Renault. Clearly, when deciding how to see off the 182 they saw 1000 or so Sachs suspension units and...

Stripped my front shocks today as they going for refurb next week and noticed the bearing on both mounts is shot (full of grit with a lot of play).
Has anyone changed these before and perhaps the large rubber mount as I'm curious to how much it may cost to replace. Going to be interesting...
Well seeing as the weather was to nice just to sit in me and a mate decided to test out my recently recon'd dampers thanks to BG Motorsport, by doing the ButterTubs pass and then heading to Ribble Head Viaduct, Thwaite, Haws then Ingelton and back home. It was a fantasic drive out and the Trophy...

Hiya all,

Camskills do them but are out of stock ATM.
Cheers,
Curiosity got the better of me so I decided to strip down my spare damper to see the inner workings and also see if I could find out why it had gone ‘soft’.
I really had no idea what to expect as ive never seen the insides of a Remote Reservoir Damper before but I did have a picture in my head...
Ok seeing as the car will just be track orientated once finished i've decided to sell the stock dampers.
2 Fully refurb'd and unpinned Trophy Dampers, when refurb'd they were cleaned up and primed with acid etch, re-sprayed in silver and also laquered. The top hole has also been modified to...
Dear All,
After getting back from South Wales today, I would like to ask: what is the best technique for carrying speed into and out of a corner in a Trophy?
I know all corners are different: different gears required, different braking points, different throttle pressure etc, but is there a...
ive just been on the k tech website and they now have a low presure turbo kit for all 182s, and they will take it to rs tuning in leeds for a custom remap (3 hours worth)it all cost around the 3k mark, on their graph is says its putting out 212 bhp and about 200 ib ft so that would put its power...

I have a week of work soon, so I was thinking of getting the front dampers refurbished. However, having seen a new suspension setup on another car (more in a minute), I want to do some suspension mods at the same time. Ok, in my opinion, The car is far too soft, more so at the rear. This is...

Hi all
I have only had the Trophy a few weeks (1500 miles) but the PE2's on the front are in need of a change. I have tryed quite a few tyres in the past on my Ph1 172 but have never tryed R888's... so I thought I'd get a set and see how they do on a day to day basis through the summer. I have...
Amongst performance car enthusiasts and motorsport competitors, Silkolene Pro S has proved our biggest seller. And so it should be... it's a fantastic quality oil at a competitive price!
To date, Pro S has been available in 2 viscosities - 5w-40 and 10w-50 - but with the increasing trend...
I'm somewhat concerned by the cost of maintenance for the Trophy, but the question is how often does it need work doing? Do you folks find them to be reliable enough to not worry for a while or is there often an niggling worry that something could go wrong at any minute?
Given that I won't have...
I'm looking for interest on a potential second batch of these exhausts. It's the best fitted exhaust available for the 182 and sounds ace. Weighs around 6kg less than standard system. There are a few vids on you tube if you have a search.
