If you buy this mag, you'll soon read that Harry's T has had re-furbed front shocks. Seems the front as "corkscrewing". One had lost it's gas the other had a slight oil leak. His cars only done 16000 miles. Am guessing a lot of those were hard miles?!

A Crash Diet.........
Seeing as it's only a track car (still drives to the tracks though) i decided that anything that could be removed was removed, i suppose i should have posted a pic, but the garage is full so most of the panels ete are just...
Anyone using a smaller redtop battery or similar in your road car how have you got on with it holding its charge etc
If you relocated it where too etc
Thanks
Noticed the other day the passenger side front damper has already been 'unpinned' however went to look at the driver side damper and noticed it hadn't been done. This is beacause the pin is directly in-line with the grubscrew making the grubscrew inaccessable!! How are you meant to get the pin...

I'm off to Angelworks on Monday for a service and am after some brake decent fluid. In my usual way I've left decision making far too late and can't get hold of any via mail order so have been phoning around places nearby and all I can find thus far is Ferodo and carlube or halfords own brand. I...
I am looking to buy a Trophy and wonder does anyone have knowledge of car No. 232/500?
I went to see this car yesterday at a local used car dealer and have a few concerns. The dealer is fitting new rear discs and shockers due to wear and tear (fairly common at this milage I understand) however...
I bought a used Trophy recently that had been fitted with KW V2 coilovers for track use.
I'm thinking of switching back to the OE sachs dampers.
The sachs were taken off at around 40k miles - should I get them serviced before I re-fit them?
Is there any way to tell if they need doing while...
Hi fella's
I know this has been covered many times but does anyone have any clear pictures of the thumb wheel preferably with it removed if not any close ups would be good.
Also the strut top mount bearings, how much if any play should there be in them as the ones on mine look like they have...
They are loose again, but worse than the last time. Tightend only a year ago. I'm getting mark fish to look at them in about a month plus geo. Could they be worn out after 25K? Are there any motorsport ones i can upgrade to?
Does anyone know for and against of this, plus other...
my friend is wantig to sell his mk1 lotus exige with only 11k on the clock...
anyone seriously interested PM me with your e mail address and i will forward your details to him...
Out of curiosity more than anything, can anyone identify this exhaust. It doesn't look anything special to me, so i'd imagine it's just a cheaper £300 or so cat back system. From some pictures i've seen it looks like a mongoose, but that's purely down to the bracket at the back.
Any ideas...
also when i've sorted the pics out i'll have the casing to a maxogen up for sale, just the casing not the filter or fixings - these retail for £320, i know because i've just got a new one..
Although the casing is/was cracked it has been gummed up so is completely water and air tight, the only...

i noticed a guy on RS with a 197 posting details of a battery change he had done...
hes fitted a "red top" racing battery in his 197 an looks like hes saved a load of weight in doing so...
so it got me wondering...i havent heard of this being done before and wondered what if any the negative...
Autocar news story
That is either drop-dead gorgeous or a bit OTT, I can't quite decide.
I'm willing to bet the production version won't be quite so extreme.
Has a Shed Motorsport shoot today. Not a massive fan of fisheye but then the photographer is...

Dunno why i ended up at the back
Dudes, I am fuming.
My Trophy went in for its third (i.e. north of £500) service a month ago at AKS Renault in Yeovil.
Today it went for its first MOT at my trusted independent garage, local to work, who service my van fleet.
It failed, as the rear pads are worn down to almost nothing, and...

Right,
had a bit of an accident involving a 5 litre bottle of Comma's finest 5w/40 motorsport oil emptying itself into the boot of my car. Bugger.
After trying to soak it up with rags and driving around for a few weeks with a permanent headache i have spent several hours using every detergent...

I have decided to do my 24K service at Mark Fish cause he's near me and very good etc. I will be getting the front dampers unpinned at the same time, along with all the brakes as they are due for the heave ho.
I am going for the Brembo Max HC discs with pagid blues and braided lines.
Question...
As you probably have seen in a couple of other posts in this section, Jonny and I took our Trophys out for a drive with friends from the Rebel Motorsport Club last weekend (well, my Good Lady did the driving whilst I took the photos!) I've finally got the majority of the Trophy pics together and...
I am looking to buy and fit some harnesses to my trophy. I don't really want to go welding and drilling too many holes here and there for them though.
Whats the deal, are they easy to fir into the Clio's? Also does fitting them affect the running of the air bags etc?
I was looking at Sabelt...
