Evening all!
Been on holiday in the States for a fortnight, and I've only just had time to sit down and go through all the posts since I went away - You lot have been busy!
Just got to quickly say how much I love my Trophy! As soon as I got home, I made my excuses to the missus...
Going to be trying to get into this market in the new year. Have teamed up with a long-standing Jap Import Specialist with his own man out there. Big learning curve tho with purchase, shipping, insurance, ESVA test - as well as (I am told) different auctions grading quite a bit differently and...
Immaculate 1.9 205 GTI standard except for K&N filter, FSE boost valve (uprated fuel regulator) and strut brace front only! This car is black with sunroof and in very good condition for year its is a 1989 G reg HPi clear with proof and is SORN butwill put 12 month new MOT on it! It was insured...
What's the most anyone's had out of their Trophy? A friend recently borrowed mine and said he took it up to 155mph with his dad in the passenger seat and felt like it still wanted to go even faster! I know the speedometer reads 160mph but I found this hard to believe as the spec notes top speed...
As the title says :( - probably the V6 too
As some of you know, I'm traveling between the UK and North America twice a week at the moment - I only come back to the UK to see my wife and kids. Anyway, I'm thinking about moving them over to the states with me full-time for the next 12...

05/05 6,300m.
Bought Aug 06, now the second owner.
Got used to the 'tomato' now, handling is out of this world on my way to work down wet, greasy b roads.
Treated it too, ITG, boot net & shelf (bloody great) spare turini, silvervisions, soon to have wiper arm mod & lube & filter change.
Here is my Trophy, that I hopefully should be taking delivery of tomorrow! Its a bad photo I know, the car is in the compound at the local ford dealer. I'll take some better ones once its mine and I've had a chance to give it a good clean. I've also posted one of my old V6...two years on and I...
Beginning to get used to the power/speed of my trophy now and not far off paying it off in full, fancy an upgrade, i love the handling but would like at bit more power at the top end.
Having looked at k-tech site and Yozzasport quite like the look of a throttle body/ turbo conversion, pref...
Hello im new to this site I'm a member on the cliosport forum I currently own a low milage mk1 clio v6, im looking to sell it pretty soon had a few offers around £11.5- 12K, ive been drawn between two cars for a while now, one is trophy, because i love clios and i get the feeling the trophy...
I'm too lazy to search through the archives - is there a quick answer to the right brake pacakge for the front of the Trophy?, I will probably only do 2 or 3 trackdays a year.
Thanks!
I'm considering parting from my princess. She's just celebrated her first birthday ('55' year registration) and completed 8,000 miles - me as the first and only (mature) owner. Never tracked or dinged - fuel computer averaging 33.9 mpg over past 4,000+ miles! Always run on Optimax / V-Power...
From what i have be told there has been a trophy rolled around Stafford it is at Davis motors in Stafford where it was recovered too. Will try to get the number. I was also told that the owner had only had it for 3 weeks  IT IS NOT A TROPHY IT IS A 182 CUP    :oops...
some <insert any swear word to like> has backed a flat bed lorry into 247 !!!!! no major damage but it's got a large dent in the bonnet

Hi Everyone,
I'm always nosing around on here and love the site, but I don't post very often. Hopefully this question is relevant to most standard trophy owners and I'm not the only one!
I know that the brakes are the weakest link for the trophy, but I'm...
Norwich Union is offering PAYG insurance... i.e. pay per mile of driving, capped up to the limit of what your policy would normally cost on a normal plan.
It's great for younger drivers, and also good if you do minimal mileage a year.
Here is the link for more info...
Wanted: Immaculate Trophy

My stock Clio Trophy 237/500 is back on sale due to prospective buyer's insurance issue. Will leave at £11495 as it seems reasonable. 55 Plate, One Owner, 10000 miles and it's in great condition throughout. I might be tempted to pay for the next service if no adjustment on price. Come back to me.
After some advice on behalf of a friend who got charged with drink driving last night.
Has anyone on here ever been in this situation or know of anyone who has? If so what was the outcome?
He knows he has messed up, and fully accpets that he should not have been out driving. He's never...
Coming home tonight from Newark (A1M southbound) I was stopped at a busy roundabount on the approach to London.
I could not believe it. A guy cut in front of me sideways (i.e. I was looking straight into his window as his car was at a 90 degree angle to me).
Despite everyone blowing their...
I am considering buying a second hand 993 as a weekend car (or perhaps as a daily driver and turning the Trophy into a weekend car). Something with around 30-50k miles on it.
Has anyone had any experience owning a 993 (or the previous model) in the past? I'm interested even if you've driven...
Following on for the recent insurance thread, I was with Bell Direct last year, and paid £686, I search around for the best quote each year and at the time this was the cheapest quote.
They sent me my renewal premium for this year and it had gone up to £720! So I did a bit of searching...
Next car looks likely to be a Clio Trophy, so this needs to be sold:
1700cc tuned crossflow ~ 135bhp.
A very strong and capable engine, the key benefit to having a crossflow is the fabulous sound it makes. It pops and bangs on the over-run, the carbs "spit" at you, and the noise under...
