Hey all,
So I actually managed to drive a trophy at the weekend, my first time. It was a little disappointing but I have to say I don't think it was the best maintained example so that may be the reason for it.
The seats were fabulous (if the driving position a little upright),the steering...
I have painted the trim strip above the glove box and the gear knob cap bit (love these lego cars) but cant get the steering wheel trim cap bit off. anyone know how?

Metallic Whine or Vibration on The Trophy At about 3000rpm on decelleration and acceleration in 2nd and 3rd gear. Maybe the heat shield touching the exhaust? Sounds like its coming from Underneath the car. Has anyone else experienced this? And ifso how much to rectify?
Cheers
Chris
has anyone fitted matched manifolds?
sport cams?
been looking at K-Tec ones and been debating it.
and de-cats?? who's got one has it made a difference and has everyone just pulled out the emissions light?
Had a run on some Dastek rollers.
Best run was 156.8bhp at the wheels and 192.6bhp at the fly.
Interestingly I had just fitted a green cotton IK and have yet to fit the CAFs. The difference between bonnet up and bonnet down was 4bhp. Not an exact test but give and indication to how much CAFs...
As per subject, I'm interested in any standard steering wheel that is no longer being used due to it being burst, rough, falling apart etc as I've had a quote to get a steering wheel recovered to my specification by http://www.gibsontrimming.com/ and would rather have a spare wheel to do this to...
Are all Trophy owners as "sad" as me? I have had my T for nearly 5 months now and I smile as much now as i did the day I picked it up when I am in it.
I just had to replace both rear wheel bearings (only 1 had gone but did both anyway) at a cost of 115 quid. Also having new front tyres on...
Hi,
I'm the new owner of Trophy No.243 T9PHY which I collected today after some fraught negotaiting with Renault dealer who had it. I know it was owned by a member on here who I contacted before buying it, and I thank him for his information.
It's my new daily runner to replace my late spec...
I had a bit play with one up the A19 the other day wasnt room to tell really thoughy with traffice, no doubt i would of hurt him off on the corners though!
Hi,
Has anyone fitted an LSD to there 182? or any other type of diff. Would it be worth fitting an LSD to a 182? Imagine an LSD on a trophy! putting its power down! 8)
Hello everyone,
Just wondering how the trophy compares to the civy type r ep3. Sat in a ep3 yesterday and I was really impressed. I went on fast laps to compare the two and the pre facelift ep3 was faster than a T round Rockingham by 0.4 seconds. But Iknow that fast laps...
Hiya Guys,
Like a few of you I think and good ol George K in particular the only real competion the CT has in class/age and size is the Intergra DC5....
So it was very interesting when George and I were both entered into the Chivenor sprint (Devon) a couple of weeks back.
I have always thought...
Hi all.
I picked up my trophy the other day and i've now noticed a faint metalic rattling sound between 3000 and 3500 revs it's hard to tell where it's coming from from inside the car but i'd guess somewhere towards the front. any ideas would be much appreciated the car is standard if that...
Which one would I be best off buying? I don't do many miles as I work away so I drive mainly at weekends. So it got me thinking a diesel might probably cost more than a petrol. But the diesel cupra has sooooo much torque! But I have heard they can torque steer out of corners! Which could be a...
Evening people,
had a rather concerning visit from a neighbour around an hour ago. She was looking out of her window and saw a cruddy, old darkblue A4 estate pull up a few yards down from our houses. Apparently the two blokes in it looked very shifty and kept looking down at something between...
