Hi all,
Noticed a big football outline on by boot yesterday. Wiped the mark off only to feel that it has made a small dent. The dent is very small and only noticeable in certain light or if you rub you hand over it.
I know its there though and its bugging the hell out of me. Whats the best...
Last oil change I used oem Elf.
Are they any better oils out there?
if so, how are they better (is there any real evidence or are people just reading the marketing blurb?)
Cheers

After four years of ownership, I'll shortly be selling my Trophy. My new car arrives early September and that's when I'll be selling the Trophy, we've only got the one car. If anyone is interested here are the details. One owner, full independent Renault specialist service history. 67,000 mainly...
I have a week of work soon, so I was thinking of getting the front dampers refurbished. However, having seen a new suspension setup on another car (more in a minute), I want to do some suspension mods at the same time. Ok, in my opinion, The car is far too soft, more so at the rear. This is...
With FCS coming very close i thought people may want their car looking pristine on their club stand so im offering to do this for you. I am doing corrections and full details at very good prices.
I'm from Coventry and will happily travel around the Midlands although you dropping your car to me...
First off, apologies for not being an active forum memebr for quite some time...
So I took my Trophy in for it's 36k mile service last week, and had a call from the garage to advise me that I had an oil leak from the cam cover seal and that it did not make any sense to change the aux belt as it...

can anyone suggest a good independent renault garage in the gloucestershire area that could carry this out (renault cheltenham want over £850 for the privilage) i have found a couple online (one in bristol &...
Hey folks,
Not quite sure what happened....went for a drive up the A1(M) from Herts to North Yorkshire in my Trophy and drove back home again in my Civic :? Was planning on keeping the Trophy until at least after Spa (which I obviously cannot drive the FD2 around in  ) or maybe...
A very sad thing happened to me this evening.
I pulled into Shell to get some Optimax, picked up the nozzle out of its cradle and, as I moved it towards the filler cap, the rubber hose somehow pulled out the adjacent nozzle, which crashed down on to the side of my car. Owch.
It's made a very...
This lamp has just come on I have tried the test mode on the dash (press the end of the stalk when turning on ignition)
the only thing indicated is a letter t = injection fault for more than 4 secs
Do you think this will cause any damage as I have a track day booked for tomorrow and no chance of...
As 196 is coming up to the annual Permagard top-up I thought I'd get the stone chips and the tiny dent on the bonnet sorted before getting the treatment done.
Has anybody used Chips Away - if yes - good or bad reports?
Cheers
This is a fantastic low mileage example that has covered 21,000 miles. I purchased the car in November 2007 for £12,000 from a Zymol detailers - see pics on his website http://www.offyourmarks.com/gallery. As you can see the car was in better than new condition and had covered just 2200 miles...

Noticed one today, and it seems like the bods at Vaux have come up with an original idea of producing a limited run off 500 models of their hot hatch lol!
On the other hand, i must say, it did look very very smart, and a LOT nicer than the standard vxr, obviously the handling won't be up to the...
Hey

1999T Subaru Impreza RB5 094/444 Very nice condition throughout with 8 Subaru and 2 Independent stamps. Just serviced with new cambelt, tensioners and waterpump fitted. Only two local owners and apart from a H&S exhaust in standard trim. I'm told by those in the know that these are becoming...
Dudes, I am fuming.
My Trophy went in for its third (i.e. north of £500) service a month ago at AKS Renault in Yeovil.
Today it went for its first MOT at my trusted independent garage, local to work, who service my van fleet.
It failed, as the rear pads are worn down to almost nothing, and...

I'm looking at spending no more than a grand on some performance upgrades on the Trophy. looking at the Morego (without cams) but not sure. Does a custom remap, filter and exhaust offer more value for money and if so who and where do you recommend?
cheers.
i might be thinking of buying some billet fast road cams for my trophy as k tech racing say it gives more torque and power gains of 12-15 bhp. does anybody have these fitted to there trophy or clio 172/182? would it affect the handling as i dont want to ruin a perfectly good handling car f
i know the clio is rather torqey but ive seen some stats with the clios torque rising to a massive 170 ibf with some mods on, what do you need to get this sort of figure?
My trophy has several small dents along the centre crease on the bonnet. Having been to a few meets I know this is a common issue. (pushing on the bonnet to latch it!! ) :evil
Was wondering if anyone has had this repaired or looked at. Am having my permagard topup in may so thought now...
Not a lot is the answer!!
I've finally removed the valve following the guide posted on this site. I also replaced the hoses with flexible alloy items, 50mm dia. for the lower intake (1st pic) and 60mm dia. for the side intake (2nd pic) using the orignial plastic fittings.
Performance...
As posted last week, my Trophy is now registered for sale
Briefly, the car has covered 16200 miles and I am the second owner from 2000 miles.
Never abused, raced, tracked and has been garaged and polished (professionally) regularly. No scratches, dent or marked alloys. Serviced by Rentech...
All,
We need a bigger car for the kids so it's gotta go.....but with regrets as it's the best fwd I've ever had.
I'm looking for £9400
This car is 100% standard, always garaged overnight and has never been anywhere near a track. The car has full Renault service history and was...
