OK, so I have a vested interest in keeping up the prices and interest in Clio Trophys, and considering the amount of offers / cars bought from Trophy forum users I've probably done a few favours in return too. It therefore should come as no surprise that a Renault dealer puts up a Trophy at...
Could possibly be a really dumb question. Is damper performance dependent on weather? Over the last couple of days it appears to have got warmer and my car seems to be noticeably more supple over the bumps. In contrast a week ago it was around 0c and it felt a lot harder and less compliant...
No 425 (or is it 475? Where's the Trophy register link gone? It's too cold to go outside and check) has done 20k miles and at some point has acquired 2 'dings' due to ignorant, thoughtless, slack-jawed (and probably jealous) eejits opening car doors against it (one on front wing, one on rear...
oh dear honda...where did it al go wrong? how did it come to this....
just read the review of the new CTR in EVO...
i wonder how many people put of buying a trophy to wait for this effort..?
3 1\2 stars aint good...and dont get me started on the dash (looks dated already)
still laughting to...
Got a bit carried away today
My exhaust (standard 'high quality' item) is making strange noises again.. So I concluded something had to be done! Then concluded whilst I am at it makes sense to do something on the induction and ECU side.
ITG panel filter and KTR grp N ECU choices...
Decided to try and give my wheels a thorough(ish) clean today. They have brake dust in the corners where the spokes join the rim and the odd stain from what I can only assume is wet brake dust coming from inside the wheel. Anyway, the car was permaguarded before I bought it - do they do the...
Just done some last minute shopping in brighton and came back to the car to find a black scrape going all the way from the back of the passenger door to the rear wheel arch. No car to be seen, I'd parked as far away from everyone else as possible and still get some scumbag drive into me.
Not...
Has anybody else received a letter from The Independent fieldwork co.? It starts "we are holding a market research event near you and would like you to attend. You have been invited because you own a sport vehicle and our client is particularly interested in talking about it with you." Blah blah...
55 reg, 16000 miles.
Never been on track. One owner from new. Small dent on front of bonnet after fight with a pheasant last year as posted on here.
Sorry to see it go but starting to do too many miles and looking into buying a house next year.

Hi all,
I had an idea that I'd like to push through.
I was hoping to start a thread in the future which contains PDF images of all of the Trophy reviews that currently exist (even if not in English).
The first step is to list in this thread all of the reviews that have been read. I will...
Reading some of the posts lately by people casually dropping things about the car like being able to disable the RAID by holding the switch down, checking the oil level electronically (a gem) and pulling the seat base forward, I thought there may be some other useful nuggets that all owners may...
some <insert any swear word to like> has backed a flat bed lorry into 247 !!!!! no major damage but it's got a large dent in the bonnet
twat that did it said "its only a clio, I'll give you £100 to sort it" erm sorry mate, you dickwad but that won't even cover the peragard...
The sale of my Leon Cupra should be going through by next weekend and then I will be able to buy a Trophy anytime after that.
I will be willing to pay the right money for an excellent example but must have low-mileage, no chips, scratches, must be perfect. Since I cant really travel all over...
Very good article in EVO this month listing the cars each memeber of the EVO team would have in their one million pound garage, there's a link to the competition here:
http://www.evo.co.uk/interact/evocompet ... arage.html
Although you don't get any prizes, it's just for fun.
Trouble is...
Hi. Just trying to work out running costs.
On an exige with ohlins you have to get rebuilds done every 10k or so dependent on use, with the trophy being a heavier car what kind of mileage would a rebuild be required and where would you get it done and at what approx cost? Is it the same...
Ok, a hot topic which has been covered in different ways, but for those of you that have had a service or have one coming up in the not so distant future, i'm just trying to find out where you've had yours done/where you'll choose.
I'm at 11000 miles so mine isnt far away. I've heard good...

It was £121.23 with me providing the oil. What has everyone else paid? It has only just clocked up 10,000 miles but I have decided to get it done early.
Also, how many miles have you had from the front tyres before having to replace them?

I have to say the were fantastic (no Im not on mind bending drugs).
I requested that they did the body work check while I was there so they could not say "well that dent was there when we got it" There was no tutting they just did the check straight away and recorded the milage etc...
Yeha!
Should be picking up my Trophy next week - it'll be garaged once my drive way is finished (I dug it up a year ago - dont ask), so it will be sleeping on the road for a while so which steering wheel clamps, other (cheapish) security should I buy?
As per the subject, anyone got one for sale? Must be original Trophy size 205/45/16, any mileage and wear considered as I only need it for a trackday - cash waiting and I will collect.
Cheers! :D
Corneyman's has had to pul onto hard shoulder. He has a fluctuating temperature gauge and is waiting for Renault Assistance. He has asked for your help.
Has anyone had a problem with their temperature gauge. If so could let me know what the the problem was so he can pass it onto Renault when...
Obeying the sticker on my filler cap saying "Super Unleaded Recommanded (sic)", I only use super, which can take some finding out here. As hyb will attest, most filling stations round here only sell hay  .
What's everyone else's policy on fuel type? Super only? Super sometimes? 95 octane?
When I get 5 minutes to think straight I would like to put together an affiliate scheme for anyone referring business to my own (and yours too?). I'm in a situation where I may sell more 182's and seems a good idea to come up with something where businesses contributing to this and other forums...
Over the past week or so my exhaust has developed a creak when cold. I've taken my car to my local independent Renault garage, I don't have a convenient main dealer. He identified the noise as loose baffles in the centre silencer section of the exhaust. As some of you will know I've had a decat...
My car has just hit the 10k mark with no major problems at all (Touch Wood :? )
I cant belive that in 6months I have done so many miles. Good thing is later this year i am moving in with my Partner, which is only 10min walk from work, so during the week the car will be parked up and i will...
